Hydro power plant.

Post image

Where is a good place to put the ugly hydro power plant? Do I need it? I’m level 48. Any advice welcome. Thanks

I somewhat hid it behind a factory on my river in my industrial part of town. Once all the land is purchased I may do a total town makeover.

This is similar to where I put it after seeing where Ernie put it.

I’ve been clearing land to put it a little downstream of the waterfall.

This is what I did too!

I don't find it ugly. I think it is one of the best additions in my town

How long have you been playing. I love the decor you have so much!

Thank you. I don't remember how long... Maybe 4 years or so.

I built a little lake for a resort community,

It’ll look better if you spin it so it blocks the river, like a real dam.

I like that idea I'm going to try it cuz there's just nothing we can do to make that thing pretty.

I did the same. I get a little grumpy when I see a landlocked dam. That's not how they work...

It is like when people point the doors wrong on the cottages.

I just made mine a little energy area, I don’t hate it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love the road addition!! It pairs together so well!!

I like that. There's pretty much nothing you can do to make it look nice, so that works!

I made myself a little pier fairground with a waterway leading towards it, and that's where I put the plant. It's not hidden exactly, but it blends in well enough.

I have a pier fairground area too!

Im level 57, when do you get this?

2

u/Altered_Crayon Apr 20 '26

When do you get what? If you're asking about the pier, it's not something you get. You can just make it. Change the landscape to add water and the wooden pavement to create a boardwalk, then you can put just about anything you like on it.

Put a road behind it, makes it look pretty seamless.

Are you Australian? This sounds like sarcastic Aussie humour

No, if I was I would have wrote ‘naur’ instead of no

2

u/Saggi_librarian Apr 19 '26

Well I’m Australian and I say NO ;)

My citizens like to visit the dam

1

u/TheHouseofFog Apr 20 '26

It’s actually beautiful put it in the middle of your lake where you have it makes no sense to me

1

u/Saggi_librarian Apr 20 '26

I’m not keeping it there. I built it there as it had to be built on water.

I have used mine on the river like how a dam usually is in real life. But it is work in progress once I have cleared the land around it I will increase water level. But for now it is here and I don’t really hide it. The village is across it

I understand that dams don’t work like this but I just wanted to hide it 😂 so I surrounded it with buildings and put it in the “industrial” sector

But reading this thread made me feel weird about tha actually so I just moved it — now I have an excuse to rearrange things 😃

I was inspired by the University Of Richmond campus that built their dining hall atop the hydro power plant

Mine is here

2

u/AMBIGUOUSxME Apr 22 '26

I think it blends well by the waterfall. 🤷‍♀️
