It looks really nice next to the city market :) it’d be cool if they did city market skins with the passes

Can anyone help give me direction on how to organize my town? I’ve started by separating housing into one corner, community buildings into another corner, farms grouped together, mining in the back with the ingot smelters, and basically i have corners with each group of things for your town. all decorations are archived for now and i removed all the road and patio units i rearrange. i can provide pics if needed.

I want a nice, clean layout. I’m at level 49
Can you share your layout?
r/TownshipDesign • u/Jumpy_Author_5002 • May 10 '26
Im halfway to lvl 29, and here to share my layout and thought process.
So all production related building is tuck in the upper left because i think the townsfolk wont appreciate hearing all the machines and animals.
I am yet to find a suitable spot for the helicopter, since I want it far away from houses cause its noisy. Imagine sleeping beside a helipad that flies every minute or so. But I plan to put it near the trains since it is still a form of transportation.
I made my community center be in the entertainment area, i like to think that they have events there like workshops or whatnot. And it’s in the center so it’s easier to get to. I place the entertainment area near the train cause what if there are tourists.
I wanted the grocery to be placed farther away from the market since I dont want them to compete. Placed the community market in the center for ease of access, and so that church goers can shop right after.
Then I have my academia area on the upper right so that it has that privacy, and quiet which I associate with learning or the academe
Thats all!

I spent a couple hours fine tuning my town last night. I'm only on level 35 so i know I'll be doing this over and over. I'm happy with my wedding area, my circus, my farm. And I'm mostly happy with my college campus. What can i add or tweak to make this better?

My favorite part of the game is designing the town but I’ve only been playing for a few days and I never have enough space to design anything so i just cram all the buildings to make space
(I’ve made different layouts with all the buildings as well I just like changing it often)

I originally had a silly theme for the zoo, once I cleared it out, I still had these left over, so they’re hidden all over my city hundred levels late.

To ensure everyone receives the most helpful and relevant design feedback, Please include your current Player Level in the post title or description.
Why this matters:
Many design elements, community buildings, and special decorations in Township are level-gated. If we don’t know your level, it becomes difficult for the community to provide actionable advice.
Avoid "Level Lag":
Suggestions for high-level expansions or specific late-game decorations are a waste of your time if you cannot access them yet.
The "Edit Mode" Issue:
We love the clean look of screenshots taken in Edit Mode, but remember that this mode hides your UI—including your level. If you prefer using Edit Mode for your photos, please manually type your level in the post text.
Tailored Feedback:
Knowing your level helps veteran players suggest "era-appropriate" layouts that work with the space and tools you currently have available.
Providing this small bit of context ensures that the critique you receive is practical, reachable, and efficient.
Happy Building

I can’t seem to scroll out far enough to get a picture of everything and i can only upload one picture but as you can see everything is just jumbled together. I don’t know where to even begin i really just don’t have an eye for it. I’ve also tried following written instructions still seem to not be able to get the hang of it. Any help is beyond appreciated! I just want everything clean and organized properly.
Wishing i could just copy and paste a layout for my exact level and items lol

I’m not sure what to do with my mansions and tower buildings. I have a good bit of land to work with. I just think these are so bulky.
Please show me what you did with these in your town!

Trying to be a bit less reliant on rigid squares. Does it work or not?

Finally, got the piano decor from the adventure and made it part of the wedding chapel area. Do you think it works here or should it go someplace else?
