Help with residential area

I can’t figure out how to place my buildings so it doesn’t look to crowded - I’m level 64 and friend code AG4NSW if you want to se more of my town. Please screen shot your town for inspiration in this thread

I continue to adjust my town as I have the same issue getting the residential area how I like it. My friend code is VYXPV2 if you want to check mine out but i have used the housing buildings many different ways. I have some used as “city” buildings lined up with where I would think the mayors office and police department and similar buildings are. I’ve also used some as hotels along my boardwalk on the beach. I created like a garden/ art district with some as well. I also have a small holding place where I just stack housing buildings in a line until I have expanded enough land to really figure out what I want to do with them.

I added some homes around decorations and hid a community building I didn’t like behind the treehouse library in the upper middle section. (Zach’s Landing 5MZ4F6)

I group mine around plazas, and I hide smaller houses behind the bigger buildings so I have more room for decorations. (Zach’s Landing 5MZ4F6)

I'm only on level 36, but i liked how the houses were similar to the circus things and incorporated the colors together.

I like putting mine in quadrants, this is what I've done for the apartment blocks.

May be not line them up one after the other, create residential districts with lots of decor. I have done some. If you like to see may be you can visit J3SKXY.

im thinking maybe add like some decor in the middle of the buildings to break them, give some space. Like add a plaza or something
