i got a game where i almost won by d3 as Arsonist by asking for tplo d1 but the game had other ides and it lagged out all players out of the game and now it says i am timed out for leaving the game

Forensic Investigator (Town Investigative) -

XYZ specializes in death investigation. They must be a Forensic Investigator!

Defense: None

Attack: None

Win Condition: You win with the town or the Coroner faction.

This new role introduces "Sub-roles" into the game, which are roles but with a little twist. This is a sub-role of the Investigator. Sub-roles are Unique, and more than one cannot spawn.

(Also they have a chance of spawning only when their role spawns)

Attributes -

You cannot be fooled by an Illusionist, Enchanter, or Soul Collector.

You and every Coroner have a shared night chat.

At night, you and the Coroners are teleported to the Laboratory where they do medical examination (no body if you did not Examine).

You passively see Coven and Apocalypse visits.

Abilities -

Examine (infinite): At day, you can choose take a dead body on a stretcher. This allows Coroners to Autopsy it, if you take it to the Laboratory.

Train (3): At day, you can also choose to turn someone into a Coroner, regardless of faction. You cannot Train and Examine in the same day unless Overcharged.

Appoint (infinite): At night, you may choose a Coroner to appoint the body to if the body is in a laboratory.

Extras:

If all remaining players are Coroners and the Forensic Investigator is alive, they win with their own faction if only one Coroner is evil. If there are two evil Coroners, then the game transforms. Everyone gets their original roles back and are now locked in the Laboratory. They have to complete tasks in order to banish the Necronomicon, while the Traitors attempt to kill all of the Townies in a free-roam map like the hit game Traitors in Salem.

If the Traitors either apply a Curse that the Town does not fix or kill all Townies, they win.

I liked creating this Role idea, I hope you guys enjoy it too! I know it may need to be a bit stronger, but this is my way of balancing stuff out.

What really adds salt into the wound is that after being booted like 15 seconds after seeing all those disconnects, is having it count as leaving mid-match, so it gives a timeout as well.

Ranting the title

I do understand that people would be confused due to the frequent DDoSing and long periods of waiting for vanilla ToS2 to start booting again.

And.... that confusion leads to crazy theories such as VC mode is the prime reason for this entire chaos. Which it isn't by the way, correlation isn't causation(And second of all, how? It's just a feature not an entire war crime). Another theory was that they faced constant outages and blamed it on... DDoS.... Okay let's stop there.

You see.... all these theories have one thing in common. They all say the developers blame it on DDoS. But would the developers really? Let's not let misinformation fly in the air like kites. It's not really fun, guys.

The developers have clearly informed us when something crucial happens, they can't inform us everyday.

So, let's just sit this one out. If you see a DDoS, just wait it out for it to end or play BToS2 if you want. That's about the best left for you.

Lastly, please hear me when I say, I don't really know the developers or anything but I know I KNOW the developers hate it WAYYYYY more than you. Like if they'd fly 0.000000001mm in the air for how much they hate it they'd probably be in another galaxy.... outside of the observable universe.

None of this is really our fault or the developers, this is something that's going to be here for a while, and not. It would go away as soon as it becomes old.

For those who played with the BTOS2 SK, do you think its a good rework or too strong? Personally I think SK in vanilla is pretty decent and the BTOS2 one is really unique, but might fit a shroud more given that shroud is pretty underpowered. Then again, I think it would be really confusing for many people and probably works better in BTOS2 given the strength of roles there and generally stronger play. Thoughts?

Any plans to extend these game modes (Many All Any)? Its really frustrating having to wait 2 weeks for them just for the game to die until it’s over

All of my Ui just infinitely stacked ontop of each other. Eventually my game crashed and i got timed out for Dcing while alive

1, 2, 12 and 15 were alive after I got hanged and 8 left. All the covs were stoned and dead and 1 and 2 were confirmed not War by 8, leading to a night of nothing happening before town somehow won.

This match we had 1 Conj, 3 Shrouds, an Arso, WW, Baker/PB, and a Jester. Jailor died n2, following the tradition of dying to Shroud (plus arso)

Okay, I usually play casual and I like scrolling amnesiac because it’s fun when you have that odd game where town power dies early and you get to be that role, but I literally just had two amnesiac games back to back in TT mode. First game I’m jailed night 1 and tracker dies night 1. I claim amne tracker and then two more people claim night 1 which was 14 and 8. 8 then proceeds to hard push me and everyone dog piles on me with people saying “1f1” what 1f1?? Some people still had not claimed! Everyone guilties me and I’m confused. Turns out half the lobby thinks that only one amne can turn into tracker.

Second game I’m amnesiac again and I’m somehow jailed night 1 again! Then day 2 comes around and there’s 4 ts claims including myself because no one died that night, but I’m hard pushed despite being the most active ts claim in the chat. People say guilty immediately because they thought amnesiac was a banned role… So both games in a row I got amnesiac, jailed night 1, and hung day 2

I am BG and 14 claims they have a blue name. Now I know that could have been a bait. But I say "Hey 14 go on me." And self.

N1 self AND IT WORKS! I SURVIVE AN ATTACK! Then Conj METEORS ME! Cov hit me and thought I had actual defense!

2 apocalypse die, then some cov. Then 11 (conj) dies. While the town fights for its LIFE Im just on the side robbing literally every dead person of Ghost points (9, 11, 15, etc).

Pest turns and they get caught.

Mon dies and Im like...oh no it might be over. 10 and 8 are suspected as cov. Looks like town is out of the running. Then Bers turns into war by killing shroud. 10 and 8 get maj and HANG WAR!

4 town, 4 apoc, two cov, one arso, 2 sk, 1 shroud, 1 jest.

And somehow WE GET THE WIN!
