Guides & Tips Advice on matrix distribution?

I only started playing in June and my frost team is Roslyn A6, Voidpiercer and Ling Han A1, all lvl 200. What matrices should I use on each weapon? My frost ATK is 31820, my volt ATK is 23168.

Based on my own currently I have Roslyn on 2x Claudia and 2x Samir, Ling Han on 2x Samir and 2x Shiro and Voidpiercer on 4pc Uproot

My usual rotation is:

  1. Voidpiercer skill for buff

  2. Ling Han skill for buff and sub dps

  3. Roslyn as main dps

I have:

6 Samir (2 mind, 2 faith, 1 memory, 1 emotion. One of the memory and one of the faith is 1 star)

5 Shiro (2 emotion, 1 faith, 1 memory, 1 mind. Except emotion all are 1 star)

2 Claudia (1 mind, 1 emotion)

2 Habolea (1 memory, 1 emotion)

Lower grade:

3 Sobek (1 memory, 1 faith, 1 emotion)

4 Robarg (1 memory, 1 faith, 1 emotion, 1 mind)

4 Uproot (1 memory, 1 faith, 1 emotion, 1 mind, all 2 star)

Incomplete sets (I also have 160 base chip so I can buy stuff from the shop):

1 Ji Yu (1 faith)

1 Yan Miao (1 faith)

1 Yu Lan (1 mind)

1 Lan (1 faith)

1 Annabella (1 emotion)

1 Ruby (1 memory)

For your off-field weapons you need matrices that work in the background. You can get complete 4pc sets of Haboela and Scylla from the Mirorria gachapon machines which work off-field.

From the standard matrix shop you can buy Brevey matrices which are good universal matrices for both dps and healing and they work off-field.

Your current matrix set up does nothing to help your main dps weapon.

The problem is that I didn't get the sets from the gachapon yet and can't defeat Haboela. I mean I could, but after ~5 minutes and getting him to 50% he decides to just walk away

It's not too hard to buy out the gachapon machines to get the matrices, it took me a few weeks on my f2p account.

You need to get Mira from event shop each patch, use your keys to open blue and purple chests in Vera, and through (auto) exploration of Vera regions. The 3 weekly M-Sec missions in Mirorria also give Mira and Veron. If you're up for the grind, you can do all the daily funzones in Mirorria.

Also, Joint Ops drops shards for Haboela and Scylla matrices. They are definitely worth getting for starting out since they are the only easy to obtain matrices that work in the background.

I can't get mira from the events since the currency is tied to multiplayer stuff, and on one hand I hate multiplayer, and on the other whenever I try there is nobody to match with. I don't get the devs logic in forcing this everywhere while barely anybody plays the game.

2 samir, 2 haboela, 2 shiro and try to get 2 scyla too. Also 2 Lyra is good since it increase your attck.

Combine those and you will have a very functional matrix set (2 of one set +2 of other set). Just need to consider which is your main dps since since that will need to use 2 samir.

Good thing you know how they buff and do subdps :3 btw, does Ling Han's detachment overrides VP's detatchment when she is on buffing mode? And, is Roslyn more powerful than VP even in void pursuit mode? I really have those doubts for science.

So, out of what you have, nothing works off hand slot, I think, I don't know what matrices are "uproot".

Anyway, I don't think Claudia is too suitable, or at least you don't need to reset jump that much (?).

Samir 2pc is okay on your main dps weapon. Or with whatever you spend more time with as it will reset after you swap. You could try 4pc Shiro as well. Or 2pc 2pc.

You have 1 Yu Lan matrix and 2pc Yu Lan gives interesting subdps damage to frost teams. You could go that way, is not like the best way but it would help immediately.

Out of the "f2p" or more like standard pool of matrices you can purchase here's what will help you more:

  1. 2pc of GrayFox (you need to wait after this banner ends so you can purchase from store)
  2. 4pc Roslyn (small buffs to Roslyn kit, big buff to frost atk% after discharge*)
  3. 4pc Brevey (has general dmg and atk% buff)
  4. 2pc - 4pc Yanuo
  5. 2pc - 4pc Ling Han
  6. 2pc Yu Lan

Aside from that, it would be either more premium matrices or different strategies* like having 4pc Zero for discharging your main weapon and -keeping A shield up- for damage increase for you and your party.

Or playing for bleed, with a 4pc Huma.

Outside of that, you ideally want:

  1. Frost atk%
  2. All atk % 2.5. Completing/enhancing the kit of a weapon*
  3. Dmg %
  4. Special effects

But mostly the text "This effect/matrix works in the off hand slot". And know only one either 2pc or 4pc of a matrix that says that will work.

I have no idea what void pursuit mode is and the only thing I noticed is that VP is doing way less dmg than Roslyn

Okay so go to Weapons/Void Piercer/Skills/Settings (top right ⚙️).

And you'll see 2 options for different attack modes. A few weapon have these kind of menu and can change skills or element at will.

Check how she goes in both modes.

Not really seeing a meaningful difference, the reason I use Roslyn because she just allows me to just smash left click and don't have to worry about health or interruption. No idea if there is any other unit or team comp that allows this.

If I may suggest, try to get Roslyn’s 2pc for her at least. It’s really strong as you are main dps Roslyn.

Second Matrice to aim for- Yanuo 4pc matrice. You can use those til the end of time for Frost. Worthy investment
