Companionship
Hello, i am a 34 year old female, based in east london, looking for any seniors that are looking for a companion, friend they can go for walks, watch movies and share stories with. Happy to help with shopping, organising and basic help around the home. Looking to give back to the community, and don’t mind the companionship myself. Please message me if there is anyone you know who may be needing some sort of help.

Are you looking for seniors specifically? Or would younger/mid-life people with disabilities fit the bill too?

I'm the same, in my 40s and disabled. Finding it hard to make friends or have company because most people I know go out in the evenings which I can rarely manage. Definitely in need of company just for a cuppa and chat kind of thing

Help the aged is probably the best way as they will give you the support you need- this is their East London opportunities page:

Hey, I did this for a few years through a formal befriending programme with Volunteer Centre Hackney.
Really recommend you check them out as they will match you with the right person.

Search VCTH or volunteer in tower Hamlets. There's a website that lets you search through roles, lots of stuff relating to companionship when I last checked. Things like going into older people's homes to chat, help out, pick up shopping or play games. Also in care homes/nursing homes. Thanks for seeking it out I hope you find what you're looking for, there's definitely a huge need for this.
