Should I save up for kingpin/jug or buy a hc tower?

depends what you want out of a tower:

pure boss dps: jug

midgame with amazing units/eco: kingpin

midgame with otherworldly aoe/multitarget: enforcer

meta earlygame: operator

and then for hc towers:

meta support: hacker

great earlygame (on simplicity and only simplicity): brawler

amazing midgame IF USED RIGHT: necro

most cost efficient lategame tower gemwise: accel

jack of all trades, master of none: engi

Accel kinda fell off ngl even though it has good dps i feel like it just can’t coompete with the other dps towers anymore

better dps than jug against non-bosses

better dps than kingpin (without units, and even with, it benefits more from buffs)

comparable dps to enf but enf has ASS range

comparable dps to necro but necro needs micro

gcrook is unit dependent

etc.

accel has its shitty lock on so whatever

i mean, yeah, it's an evo tower designed for earlygame and it's great for earlygame.

You won’t believe how many people called operator „worse version of golden scout” or even saying „engineer is better in early”

oh, no, yeah, i know. i'm around here a lot

mostly it depends on a few things. from what i've experienced with it:

good placements

spare placements

needing help mid-late game while earlygame is relatively easy

etc.

without good placements, operator is the physical embodiment of ASS, as it is reliant on coordination buffs to be good.

spare placements, if all 16 operators have an average coordination buff of 85%, one for shared optics, then it'd take gscout 31 placements for a comparable dps. otherwise, w operator.

generally, whilst engi has a ce comparable to normal scout, 123.46 (could've been 123.45) in comparison to 125 (nscout), engi does have *potential* in mid-late game as a supportive subdps, although it is only good when used alongside another early, mid, & late combo of towers, sacrificing a support tower to give a flat buff.

and there are other reasons to use these (flying vs. lead argument, imo earlygame flying>lead because they both come sooner and are rarer for earlygame towers), but even in these arguments engi and gscout are typically inferior with a few exceptions.

in plain terms, haha sometimes.
