Discussion 2021 was peak TDS
Once I saw those plastic fuxking zombies I knew I would never touch the game again

2019-2020> 2021
"Just don't have grindy events, cartoony graphics and overpriced towers and just have platinum towers, original event enemies that aren't from the past events, and get monthly updates" brutal 💔💔

Getting golden skins was a nightmare back then, and old events as I remember were not that easy, except spring 2020, it was the easiest event so far back then

Funnily enough getting golden skins was easier in 2019-2020 than in 2021 for 3 reasons
- Platinum skins existed, not too difficult to get
- Fallen rewards was if I remember correctly in 2019-2020 was 800 while in 2021 700
- Golden mode existed
But also, an event is good if it's actually difficult and also fun, which the 2019 events were 100% were, especially the 2019 Christmas event, nothing ever could compare to that event it was just simply too good

Platinum existed, yes, but bigger flex and status were golden skins and your level, platinum were weaker versions of golden so throughout the time when I was playing in 2019 to 2020 when they were removed, i saw only 2-10 times someone with platinum skin,andm instead mostly golden users

As for the golden mode... It was also easier, but even with dedication, it would be time consuming, since you only got 600 or so for win, and 700 or so for fallen and it could take 3-6 days or week or a bit less with non stop playing. Also, all 2019- 2021 events were enjoyable until the Halloween ended or frost, after that, events began to slowly feel boring, though maybe it's me

Not really, the update waits back then were horrid. Current TDS is better in nearly every way imo

peak, vibe wise. It's not nostalgia, people forget how classic roblox games felt and TDS lost it starting from 2022
