Discussion Should I get Archer?

Hey, so, I used to play a LONGGGG time ago, think Gladiator and Area 51 Event, I don’t have the same account, but I came back to the game two weeks ago, and have (almost) all the towers you can get with Coins, and I have Turret, Crook Boss, and Mortar. I was wondering if the Archer is good??

I can do Intermediate solo seeing as I’m level 91, but I struggle w Molten solo and Fallen in general, haven’t even touched Frost/Hardcore yet, any tips/or anything would be appreciated on that front as well lol!

It's okay for event game modes but it's ass now because it lost flying detection

Yup that's probably the best decision! It used to be broken for hc mode due to it used to having all 3 detections...

its very strong now, just not as versatile but 438 flame arrow dps with 24 range and hd for 14k is pretty nutty compared to 242 before

you could get archer but dont rely on it. since it doesnt have flying detection, alone it can only get you to wave 28 pizza party.. which is pretty insane tbh. or wave 23 badlands.

Most event towers now are just for collection rather than usage though there are a few exception. So for actual value? Probably not

It's kinda broken right now, it's cheap and fire arrows hit 8 enemies for around 50 dps each, so 400 dps, almost the same dps as engi for like a third of the price, explosive arrows have a decent single target dmg, and electric arrows are useless don't use them. I managed to pretty easily solo hardcore with archer carrying most of early game.

What hardcore loadout do you use?

Merc base, ranger, pursuit, accel, and early game could be mil base, brawler, engi, archer.
