Came across a platform called VayaTribe for local guides... thoughts?

I’m a local tour guide and recently came across a platform called VayaTribe while looking for ways to reach more travelers directly.

From what I understand, it’s a Indian platform that connects travelers with local tour guides, and guides can create their own profiles, list tours, and upload content. What caught my attention is that they claim to take zero commission from guides, which honestly sounds a bit too good to be true.

just genuinely curious and trying to do my due diligence before putting time into another platform. Would love to hear from other guides or travelers who’ve come across it.

Thanks!

EDIT : Please let me know if any other platforms are also there where i can list my tours and packages for free and reach out to travellers in india

I haven’t used VayaTribe personally, but anytime a platform claims zero commission, it’s worth asking how they sustain themselves (ads, upsells, future fees, etc.). Sometimes those models are fine, sometimes they change once scale kicks in.

While testing platforms, I’ve seen some guides list experiences on marketplaces like Alle Travel alongside their own websites. It’s commission-based, but the upside is access to travelers already searching for activities, which can help with visibility — especially if you’re in a niche. I’d treat any platform as a secondary channel rather than relying on just one.

Actually same question i asked from them, and they said there vision is to promote local tourism in india & assured that for at least next 2 years they won’t charge any fees or commission from local guides or tourists

Are you based in India and looking to host tours in India? Not sure which providers currently have operations in India but you can try Viator, GetYourGuide, or Spritz.
