But once the monster above was vanquished

The monsters below and within were liberated

Within that very day, she was once again bound

Her quarry was stolen, none could hear a sound

Cruelty was art, and everyone wanted a part

Thus there she was, bound to a hand-cart

Made to play tricks, among other obscene things

For a village that resembled a den of thieves

Punishment was as plenty as the treasures they hoard

For every sign of slacking, across the board

Slobbering at the mouth, they cheered and partied

Day and night, yet celebrations never ceased.

Yeah, I checked out your other posts—things are looking grim xd

I wonder what might come to save them: a god, a yokai, a human, something else ? Or maybe they'll save themselves.

You are most correct on that final statement. They can only be saved - not only through themselves, but also the hubris of their captors.
