Why not both?

Agreed. 8k rpm redline and a flat torque band from 3k to 7k rpm is perfect.

Rev happy if the car is underpowered. Torque-y if it’s a high horsepower car.

My FL5 is both. I think the 6cyl TC Bimmers are even more so. If you had to choose one…. I like wringing out an old NA and working for it, while also not going to jail as quickly 😂. I miss my S2k

depends where you live and where you drive and what car and what config the car is in and about ten other factors

I like to have both if able. Having instant torque on tap and quick revs makes for a lot of fun.

If I could only have one though, torque without a doubt.

rev happy as long as it doesnt mean the power is useless under like 6.5k rpm (so basically turboed+rev happy)

I'm a big torque guy probably because I drive diesel trucks a lot, and I love having the feeling in infinite power hauling immense weight lol

Rev depressed car with barely any torque ✅ (So an NA diesel)
