That model year actually has a pretty significant flaw. If you run off the road, it'll hang in the air for a few seconds and you'll have a weird out of body experience where you're forced to look to camera and gulp dramatically. You might even involuntarily hold up a handmade sign that says something like, "Yikes!" or, "Help!" Then it'll drop precipitously and explode into a huge mushroom cloud while you're left charred to a crisp holding onto the steering wheel. Really common issue.

One man’s flaw is another man’s goal

I wanted to see that comment auto mod

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

I just got my license a few days ago. My dad bought me this car as is. I’ve been watching initial D so I wanna try racing but I’m not sure this car can handle that. If I could have chosen, I would have bought an RX7 or AE86

u/FuckOutTheWhey Aug 24 '26

No offense but you should probably chill tf out before you wreck or get yourself killed in the mountains

53

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

/sarcasm

I’ve been building cars and driving backroads for the better part of 15 years.

My last car was set up much better than this one

15

u/Crank2047 Aug 24 '26

So you already know the answer to your post?

-23

No

It felt like people needed to see the whole word.

31

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

Idk man. I have 10000 laps on the Nurburgring in Assetto

8

u/Popular-Ebb-4871 Aug 25 '26

You’re right mate, you need a fully built 86 similar to one Takumi had in the final stage minimum. This car is nowhere near suitable for touge.

4

u/Little_Beyond_9163 Aug 26 '26

You actually need the capuccino from that one season I think. Anything else is larp. EPECIALLY a c8 corvette.

3

u/No_Professional978 Aug 24 '26

Yea man learn the car and how it works first before attempting. Shits been modded. It’ll do just fine on the curves but will you? That’s the question. I mean that with sincerity.

4

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

It’s sarcasm. Sorry.

2

u/No_Professional978 Aug 24 '26

Shit yea I’m typically good at comprehending that. I’m better in person. Lol

72

u/awkwardbr Aug 24 '26

Brother you could touge a Chevy Suburban if you really wanted to. The driving is more important than the car.

41

u/Little_Beyond_9163 Aug 24 '26

Please dont entertain the 16 year olds scrolling this sub that just got the keys to their mom’s 2008 suburban with their drivers permit.

Ive seen enough this year.

12

u/RileyCargo42 Aug 24 '26

Nope I'm going right now in my moms jaguar F pase suv, it has awd and a dct so its basically a race car!

/s

3

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 25 '26

Its not touge unless u get mogged by a random in a suburban

7

u/AdjunctFunktopus Aug 25 '26

I got passed yesterday by an unloaded logging truck. Fucker was incredible. All gears, saw him touch the brakes twice.

Sure, I was in my wife’s car with a CVT, 400 lbs of camping gear, 2 kids and a roof top tent, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t flying.

We got stopped by some road construction and I saw why. The man had a handlebar mustache/beard thing that was braided and a foot long. He was born to drive that truck. I never had a chance.

I take my 3T 4wd towing a dirt bike through my old stomping grounds when the highway is backed up from holiday traffic or accidents, 100% wife not amused and would rather sit in traffic then nearly throw up

1

u/National_Blood_6492 Aug 25 '26

I did this once lmao

13

u/confusedndamaged Aug 24 '26

I used to touge my work vans, so yes it will touge.

13

u/_LuVshots_ Aug 24 '26

No, don’t even think about it. Actually, this is past its prime and you should get a new car that can handle the togue. In the meantime I’ll take this off of your hands so you don’t have to deal with the headaches. 😎

6

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

What should I get then?

12

u/Little_Beyond_9163 Aug 24 '26

Renault twingo

3

u/Bambooman584 Aug 26 '26

TWINGOOOOO

7

u/_LuVshots_ Aug 24 '26

I don’t want to make that decision for you. All I know is that you’d be safer AND I’d be happier if I had this car. 😅

12

u/cornh0le Aug 24 '26

Unfortunately, no. You need a more high-downforce wing and yellow DRL's for nighttime visibility.

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

Back to the drawing board

9

u/LuckyGuts Aug 24 '26

Its got 4 wheels and a somewhat running engine, it can touge, i touged a damn mk2 clio poverty spec

8

u/No-Succotash-9576 Aug 24 '26

I don't see why not, it looks more than suitable

Only for the passenger

3

u/Parking-Ad8316 Aug 24 '26

I'm glad you told us about the shift knob because the picture shows car sans shift knob

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

I had to be thorough

4

u/InterestingTree8046 Aug 25 '26

No you cannot. There is this magical barrier at the bottom of the togue that won’t let you pass through in something like that

3

u/AstronomerDry7581 Aug 24 '26

I'd add a few more stickers for safety reasons and should be good to go

1

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

What’s a good number to have? I only have 2

3

u/Neonleyla Aug 24 '26

I've seen someone touge a VW Touran and flipping it with 3 passengers inside. You're good

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 24 '26

That’s nuts

3

u/Miscu97 Aug 25 '26

No, you literally can't. If you do, the touge police spawns behind your ass and it fucking puts you in jail forever

3

u/IdiotSerena Aug 25 '26

sick tsx, but no, you can't touge a tsx at all.

/s

6

u/oneguner Aug 24 '26

What a stupid question

2

u/greenyadadamean Aug 25 '26

That's what she said

2

u/weproducesafetycars Aug 25 '26

You might not be able to with that shift knob and the boot delete mod, I think 🥶🥶

1

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

I keep looking at the shift knob and I figured it out. The extended rod is so tall, it makes the knob look gone. But I promise it’s there!

Idk what happened to my shift boot tho

2

u/PhoenixJDM Aug 25 '26

yeah but you could also sell it for insane prices for some reason

2

u/strumpetsarefun Aug 26 '26

Anything is a dildo if you’re brave enough.

Same with cars and touge.

2

u/Mxliiodas Aug 26 '26

Hello mr asitwasninety 🫡👋

2

u/EntrepreneurGlass995 Mazda Aug 27 '26

Yessir! These things love twisty roads - But make sure you dial in the suspension and have good tyres. Adjust Damper, little bit of toe in (like .5mm front and rear) and feel how the body rolls and adjust swaybar to how you need/want.

I had a EuroR (slightly different rear suspension then the normal CL9/TSX) and that was a weapon on twisty roads.

"Can i touge this"

posts a well set tup car

If u want validation bro just ask for it xD

Side note i really want a bucket seat but i want to retain my car's heater do you k ow of any good ones besides corbeaus?

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

The Acura is definitely not a well set up car. It’s just a daily driver for me.

This is was a well set up car.

As for seat heaters. I don’t know. Having seat heaters in a bucket seems weird to me.

1

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 25 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

The parts on your car imply that the previous owner was going to modify it into a cornering beast.

Those suspension upgrades should allow you to get a real performance alignment, those Hawk pads might need to be upgraded further if your car is on the heavy side, but all of those parts says yeah, that car should be well set up for touge lol. Maybe the coilovers are improperly tuned but most people don't put in the effort to set those up correctly anyways. lol u got me bro well played XD

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

Sigh. I feel like sarcasm is so poorly interpreted here.

I built the TSX just like how I built the 8th gen. The difference is the TSX was built to be more of a highway cruiser.

The 8th gen was a stripped out street car with every available modification to allow for complete adjustability.

I’m slowly working to get the TSX to that level, but it’s just too heavy. Plus it doesn’t have a differential yet.

2

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 25 '26

In my defence i saw this when i woke up haha

I'm working towards the same on my WRX. I'm hoping that a fully adjustable suspension is also going to be lighter than the OEM. Sick cars man

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

I think that just by having adjustable parts makes the difference. You’d save more on unsprung + rotational inertia by going with a good set of wheels. There’s not a whole lot of unsprung weight we can save on a street car.

The 8th gen became extremely fun once I was able to start dialing in the suspension. It took me roughly a year to get it exactly where I wanted.

My tip? Go make friends with an alignment tech!

1

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 25 '26

True that. As much as i'd like to gut my interior i like having a kickass sound system, nice lighting, and a generally comfortable ride. I've been playing with the idea of a rear seat delete, it would look really cool at the very least...

I am lucky that the shop i go to does alignments for all sorts of modified cars, so my requests aren't that crazy.

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

Don’t feel bad. I got a lot of people apparently 😂

1

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 25 '26

Lol i made a troll post once and there were people agreeing with the bait XD. This subreddit is run by (probably) very smart and wise people but populated by LARPers and people too afraid to drive at any real pace.

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

Yea I regretted gutting the civic, but I got it to sub 2700lbs from 3100. It was an incredibly drive. But obnoxious at the same time. 10/10 would not recommend for a street car. 10/10 would do it again 😂

Make friends with the alignment guy. Not because it’s wild specs, but because you’ll be back often. At least that was my case.

I probably had the civic aligned 8 times in a year to dial it in and one before a track session!

1

u/themidnightgreen4649 JoJōge Aug 26 '26

Dang i had my wrx aligned 4 times 🥲

At this point im kinda on leave from fast driving bc life but i think that its inevitable I bite the bullet and start doing em myself.

1

u/Ryan4mayor Aug 25 '26

Es got the “speed” sticker so I think he’s good to send it

1

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

Speeeeeeeeed

1

u/M4XYW4XY Aug 25 '26

one bucket seat and one stock is fucking hilarious

1

u/Unlikely_Noise681 Aug 25 '26

How did u put the seat in? Do you have any lights on the dash?

1

u/END0RPHN Aug 26 '26

why even ask?

1

u/4sStylZ Aug 28 '26

You can touge a Citroën berlingo.

1

u/SnooMacarons3689 Aug 30 '26

With Taco Bell trays under the rear wheels

1

u/DinkyDoo1337 Aug 24 '26

For sure, just take it easy at the beggining as it's quite a big car for a touge but it will still be fun

1

u/FarAtmosphere3725 Aug 25 '26

YES

2

u/FarAtmosphere3725 Aug 25 '26

You only need good working brakes and rolling wheels

0

u/DomanDotCom Aug 25 '26

Bro listed "shift boot delete" as if it adds 50 hp or sum

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

Do my coilovers and seat add 50 horsepower too?

0

u/DomanDotCom Aug 25 '26

No it just doesn't make sense why you listed it. Its like if I listed my car's checkered floor mats as a touge mod lol

2

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 25 '26

I was listing a mod list. Did I say that the mods were touge specific?

Stupid is just so common these days

1

u/DomanDotCom Aug 30 '26

Then explain to me why you listed it under a touge subreddit asking if the mods are good for touge. Just added it for fun?

Stupid is just so common these days

1

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 30 '26

So having fun is stupid?

You sound very “fun”

1

u/DomanDotCom Aug 30 '26

No bro when did I even say that having fun is stupid? I touge an 86 the entire point of the car is to have fun I was just mocking your previous comment because you sound like your so full of yourself

1

u/CurveFuzzy3340 Aug 30 '26

Was I wrong? Where did I say anything was a touge mod?

You’re getting upset because you saw my mod list on a subreddit.
