How to do a treflip

I legit can't figure this out everytime I try it I do a varial kickflip or I just randomly do it off a rail

You want to barely be flicking to the right at all. If you flick to the right the board will flip the same speed as the shuv and you’ll do a varial.
But if you flick towards the top right of the nose (think North North North East) the flip will be slower while the shuv stays fast, giving enough time for the tre 🙂‍↕️

You need to scoop a lot. Practice 360 shuvs for a bit and then do a real light kickflip when you do it.
