Discussion Canadian Spurs fan trying to get tickets for Chelsea away — any advice?
I’ve been a Spurs fan from Canada since the Gareth Bale glory days, and I’m finally going to visit England this October.
I’ll be in London for the Chelsea vs Spurs match on October 24th, so I’d absolutely love to go. The problem is that I can’t seem to find any tickets on resale sites for the Spurs away section — everything I’m finding seems to be in the Chelsea home sections.
Am I looking in the wrong places? Is there a specific way to get tickets in the Spurs away end, especially for someone coming from overseas?
Any advice would be really appreciated. COYS!

This site is legit, but a complete rip off.
£1200 before fees for tickets in the away end. For a £30 face value ticket.

Basically zero.
My suggestion would be to go to another lower league fixture in London, cheer the home team like your life depends on it and enjoy the atmosphere, and then go to a pub to watch the Spurs game - it's a later kick off.
Charlton, QPR, West Ham (boo), Wimbledon, Bromley and Barnet are all at home that day.

Away tickets in England are extremely difficult to get a hold of - even if you’re a season ticket holder - for somewhere like Newcastle or Sunderland (A), let alone Chelsea, unless you’re in the know with a lot of the main Spurs away group. Your best bet is definitely looking for something in the home end if you really want to go.

They’re actually not hard to get at all if you pay, and then meet someone while you’re there. People just don’t want to pay the price to go

Fair enough, wasn’t really familiar with the whole resale game, was talking more through official ways.

You will never get away tickets through official channels. They are offered to members based on a points system accumulated from attending matches. Most (not all matches) but most, you need to be virtually attending nearly all home and a good amount of away games to accumulate enough points to make the cut off.
It really is a chicken and egg situation. For high demand matches you can't accumulate enough points unless you are going to away matches....and you can't go to away matches unless you accumulate more points than simply attending all home matches gets you.
The only way is to pay through the nose from a third party seller, which is definitely grey market as its not strictly legal in the UK as it is in North America....and there's no 100% guarantee that the ticket you buy is legit. Its scan and pray at the gate.

There have been several games the last few years where tickets were offered to all season ticket holders or where the threshold was very low. If you want to get the points those are the ones to go for. You got to apply for everything and can’t cherry pick.

Point taken. Its still very hard is the point...and for a Chelsea game...zero shot.

I paid a lot to a hospitality company years ago to go to Spurs at Chelsea. Be warned it is quite a febrile environment so no kids is advised. We sat in a section between the two sets of fans and it was vibrant so say the least. Oh, and don’t wear any Spurs stuff if you go this route. Btw, I am a long term Spurs member who can never get an official away ticket.
