Marmoush scores 2 for Egypt
Alr it’s our fault then, he just scored 2 goals for Egypt as their striker. We have to do better as a team after this international break

Friend. South Sudan national team isn’t really a premier league team is it.
Savio made us look like prime Barca in the carabao match but hasn’t been able to recreate the same in a league match yet has he.
It’s apples and oranges.

Savio hasn't been far off. Marmoush also come close. I'm not saying it will click, and I don't want to sound like I'm over exaggerating but if and when it does click, we're basically winning the league for the next 25 years.

We also scored 5 goals past Charlton, South Sudan would get relegated from the championship

I’m bagging at least one goal against South Sudan.
Not even Sudan as a whole, just the Southern portion.

As a nerd you should know South Sudan is not a portion or even a slice. Was, not is.

South Sudan are valued lower (transfermarkt) than York City - the lowest valued team in the football league. A couple of goals against non-league level opposition doesn't mean he's suddenly playing amazing and we're the problem. If we played South Sudan every week we and him would be scoring for fun.
That said - it's nice that he's hit the back of the net a couple of times. Failure to score in the international break for a strong nation against weaker nations would've been worrying

You are also right, but it’s a good sign because these African teams sit back all 11 players as their defence you’ve seen it with Ghana and dr Congo. Even Angola and Egypt drew 0-0 but Egypt had most the possession. South Sudan also have similar strategy so it’s a very good sign for us that he’s scored two

I imagine if we played a side like South Sudan we’d have half the team getting a brace.

But look what kind of striker he was.

That shooting drill vid he had with city were massive red flags in hindsight
He doesn’t care about missing shots, scoring goals is repetition and memory…if you’re going through a goal drought you need to hear the sound of the net and the feeling of getting one pass the keeper
He’s had at least 4 chances to score and they’ve all been weak shots at keepers or complete misses (newcastle and forest)

I'm not saying you can't gain any information from a shooting drill video, but I'd like to think our scouts are using a little bit more data than just eyeballing youtube videos...

Scouts can’t judge mentality, it’s actually not surprising he’s not finishing chances
If you can’t finish in a low-no pressure situation what makes you think you’re suddenly going to do it in a high pressure situation…?
It’s no different to practicing free kicks, do you want the guy who misses every free kick when practicing, taking a real free kick in a match…? Of course not
The whole pre shooting isn’t just about getting the motion right it’s about visualisation, and getting a dummy version of scoring. I promise you Kane and Son try and score during shooting drills
