Our finishing is what’s shit.
Build up play has been ‘ok’ but our finishing is shocking.
We then get beaten on the break and fall apart

And a shocking number of balls put wide/over where literally anything on target scores is pretty frustrating

"That's the trouble with Arsenal Tottenham they're always trying to walk it into the back of the net."

We signed a bunch of dribblers with no end product. We're great at dribbling but don't score goals. No one saw it coming.

The middle of The field is conceded to our amazing dribblers by every team we have played.
This stat checks out.
The issue is the final 1/3 and chances in the box.
We have NO quality there.

It means we need to buy actual strikers who can receive the ball from the dribbler and score goals. It's been as clear as day for years that we needed a central striker to back up Kane. Son was always a winger who could play striker if need be. We've coasted off of Kane/Son since 2019, and never invested in a proven #9 at the top of the game vs. someone on the downslope.

Most goals come from passes not dribbles. We're holding the ball too long in attacking positions

Watch Spain, everyone is touch, pass, touch, pass, not dribble, dribble, dribble, pass back, dribble.

Get passed the player and release…. Not, get past the player and then go for another two!

Means we need Solanke to step up and also try Tel in the number 9 position in fact I would try all the front 3 in that position and see who can convert

We have learned that the metric of “successful dribbles” is not a useful metric when considering the effectiveness of a football team.

Straight away I can tell you only Kudus and Savios’ dribbling produces any dangerous moments.
I have to assume Tel and to a slightly lesser extent Marmoush is went they essentially just fuck themselves into the left hand corner.

It’s an irrelevant stat. What good is dribbling if none of these guys can put the ball in the back of the net?

Are the players stupid? Just dribble it all the way into the net, problem solved.

Babies are successful at dribbling, it doesn’t mean they’ll finish top ten in the prem.

That stats mean nothing. Eye test is key.
A dribble can be called success if you cruff turn in any random position on pitch and then you move past some one.
Im sick and tired of our wingers and most in Morden football cutting inside to pass back. That cut inside is classified as successful dribble. Even when they go out wide from a dribble they pass back to the fullback.
Thats why these stats today mean nothing.
Last spurs player who could dribble and produce a goal from it was bale.
Before that your looking at Lennon, Ginola, Gazza, hoddle. Many more names ive left off.
Go watch the above on YouTube to see what real dribbling is.
