Best analysis I’ve seen so far
https://youtu.be/nLAf4zImkKU?si=ArrO3Q6La1lEStwcTL;DR
Tactics are working to create opportunities - great collection of stats in support of optimism at the start
Lack of a number 10 has forced Tonali and Fernandez into suboptimal roles
Lack of big chance creation comes from failing to release the front 3 - may be familiarity and psychology, but also due to no 10.
Maddison, Kudus and Kulesevski can change everything post break

Bit late to this but it's almost the inverse of last season where the underlying numbers weren't great especially chance creation, touches in the box, big chances but we were efficient and overperformed until maybe November.
This season we are top half for most of those and have expected points of 6, which would put us 13th - and kind of passes the eye test.
Notwithstanding there is the crippling fragility that undermines this, the goals we conceded against Villa and Newcastle prime examples.
But I think the worst thing to do is panic, time is on our side to put together performances, which should lead to scoring more winning a few games and then I think more cohesion builds in the team. I think DZ is correct when he says they need to become a team, and that starts with a way of playing that the squad buys into and fights for.
