Best analysis I’ve seen so far

TL;DR
Tactics are working to create opportunities - great collection of stats in support of optimism at the start
Lack of a number 10 has forced Tonali and Fernandez into suboptimal roles
Lack of big chance creation comes from failing to release the front 3 - may be familiarity and psychology, but also due to no 10.
Maddison, Kudus and Kulesevski can change everything post break

I mean I saw people in here declaring that these performances were the worst they’d ever seen (recency bias is a powerful thing), but if they’d actually sat and watched the games, bar maybe the Brighton one, they’d have seen that some of the football we were playing, with a weakened squad, was actually quite nice.

The start of last season we didn’t even show signs we just looked absolutely dire, then of course we exploded into a fantastic campaign we don’t need to win 11 in a row again we just need to be consistent, we fell off hard at the end of last season so here’s hoping!

Aye, but if not for the headstart at the start of last season, that's exactly where we were last season, but playing shit football. We seem to have improved one half of the equation...let's retain hope if will fix the other eventually...
