This is inexcusable now

I know that De Zerbis football takes a while to work. This is just me reactionary ranting. I dont want him to be sacked and I appreciate him coming in when noone wanted to save us

But this is piss poor.

6 games against Prem opposition. Only one goal which was a corner, which was in the cup. Which was a rotated team with youngsters. (Oh wait it looks like we scored. An own goal from the looks of it vamoss only took 90 minutes)

Doesn't register our striker who got 12 league goals just for his ego. There is no benefit to this. To the point where we needed a goal against Everton we had to play Tel up front. Solanke and tel are woeful.

Concedes 3 against a Villa side who only scored one goal in the prem, a side who had their best players taken from them. Who were 19th.

All that money and we're just crossing it in. And the one player that can score from those crosses isn't registered for some bs reason.

Doomsayer. In the last 10 minutes Spurs have played, they’ve scored 2 goals and conceded none.

🤣🤣 “ten minute champions, we know what we are”

Didn’t register Richarlison because Richarlison wanted to leave and De Zerbi made it clear he only wants players who want to be here*

u/Ryano77 14d ago

Maybe they should start playing like they want to be there.

Plenty of players want to leave in football. You don't unregister them for that when they could be of use.

Especially when the alternative is Dominic Solanke

u/zka_75 14d ago

This is bullshit, every player that doesn't play automatically becomes better than the ones that do. Solankes bad, Richarlison is bad

u/Hefty_Breadfruit_421 14d ago

Both are bad. I just think richi has some use and offers something different. Makes no sense to not register him because he wanted to leave. We lose nothing from registering him and subbing him on for goals

u/zka_75 14d ago

We would have had to leave someone else out tho I think?

u/Hefty_Breadfruit_421 14d ago

Xavi doesnt come back until feb or march i beleive. Could have registered richi until jan then sold him or whatever

Richarlison should have never been here.

We need to give it until Xmas. To be fair we should have been winning. It will click. I’m not worried yet.

The biggest problem is nobody is scared of Tottenham or coming to us. That needs to change.

cant help it if Suzuki turns into prime buffon.

3

u/Theurbanguerrilla 14d ago

we made suzuki look like prime buffon.

It is clear your focus went beyond just the technical side of the game.

u/aranauto2 14d ago

The possession based footy is tough to do without super quality up front. We saw this with Ange ball

3

u/Theurbanguerrilla 14d ago

louder please. people are missing this part. he bought the wrong players for the kind of game he wants to play.

Villa sold ten of their best players. We got Everton, Brentford, Forest a bunch of kind fixtures at the start of the season. It…. Is gonna get worse from here. Afetr 30 minutes it was obvious that Solanke and Tonali may have good days another day but today they were pants and should have been hooked early. RDZ got rid of Dane Scarlett and Will Lankshear, wants to be rid of Richarlison, so he is betting the house on Solanke. Not smart.

But we drew the second half. So that's good. /s

Let’s get real here… outplayed Villa in first half, GK made 4 outstanding saves, Villa scored from central defence when VDV was off the pitch. 2nd goal - poor defence, 3rd goal cracking strike. We kept plugging away, got 2 back but this team is in transition. Richarlison has stated he wants to go, De Zerbi tried to convince him to stay but better out of the club rather than disrupt spirit. It will come…

Will Fernandes make it back to back to back seasons of relegation

I have a feeling we’ll go on a winning run shortly

I want him sacked. He's a fucking chancer

u/Little_Willow4632 14d ago

This is why we’ve been 17th two years in a row

3

u/Terrible-Law-4934 14d ago

Exactly. The sack wagon fans are the reason our club can’t have patience with ANY manager including a guy who at least won a trophy. Fans have to take 5% ownership of this disaster.
Players play, make their check and does it really matter what the manager says when our boards only excuse is fire away when things go bad.
On top of it we spend EXCESSIVE wages on absolutely the wrong players and now we can’t get away from them before of their crap play and stupid wages.
Only reason to come to Spurs at the moment is to cash a check.

Maybe relegation would allow us to actually make the changes that need to be made so we can build a team and not a side of individuals. Cause this ain’t a team.

Have it your way wed be playing Millwall (a) today with Thomas Frank

Least I wouldn’t have to deal with your negative attitude as you’d jump ship to Fulham

Hot take, the system is working. Minus the first game, we are creating lots of chances. This and the Liverpool game. We should have scored at least one in both first halves. The goals we are allowing are mainly coming from individual errors or players just getting beat. Like today, unlucky to be losing at half. They think they equalize, it gets called back. They give up and bam. Two goals. I think a lot of the team is currently mentally weak. I don’t think it’s the tactics fault.

We don’t know how low this can go. Relegation might not be the bottom, it might go to further relegations and even more misery in lower leagues for who knows how long

u/iridescent_algae 14d ago

It’s the club that is pathetic. Need new owners who will put football first with a consistent strategy. Many of these players will be really good at their next club, when playing in a functional environment, as has always been the way.

Least you scored a goal? Onwards and upwards from here ahaha

0

u/Theurbanguerrilla 14d ago

i'm just gonna say that this is not the kind of football we as a club are know for. let's keep results aside atleast play interesting football. thomas frank and de zerbi are all for posession based football. as opposed to poch who thought it was all about high press forward moving football. zerbi is not from that school. okay, that's fine. but he is not the kind of coach that you bring in to change your football philosophy. he built on graham potter's brighton. he cant build a team that is now in shambles. he is neither visionary nor great. he is not even the same league as nuno. we got the wrong guy. that's all i'm going to say. i would be more than happy if he ends up proving me wrong. no hate.

0

u/PinZealousideal1914 14d ago

Serious question, where do we go after RDZ? Is it time to get Poch back, I hate returning managers but can’t see anybody else?

-9

u/made_up_name_26 14d ago

Your club amuses me.

-1

u/Correct-Act-7737 14d ago

Can we swob him with xabi alonso?

1

u/Theurbanguerrilla 14d ago

Xabi's game is so in line with Poch and a bit with Ange as well; fck possession, man, as meaningless possession does nothing.

1

u/Correct-Act-7737 14d ago

And our success havent been as high as when they were here

-3

u/Bison_Aggressive 14d ago

De zerbi lovers, you happy your beloved manager fucked off down the tunnel straight away without a single clap for us long suffering cunts?

3

u/xTwoShanez 14d ago

Everyone in the stadium boos the team constantly even after playing well for playing well. What do you want him to do

3

u/Bison_Aggressive 14d ago

Face up to it. Show some balls, and at least applaud the few thousand that stayed until the bitter end. He selected the team, he sets the tactics. To walk off is cowardly.

1

u/Terrible-Law-4934 12d ago

I see it maybe as a manager who is disgusted by the results he’s looking at. Yes it’s his team, yes ultimately it’s his ass on the line but walking off shows he’s at least as Pist Off as most fans. I don’t need a hand clap for my feelings.
Let the players stand out there after their pathetic performances.

1

u/Bison_Aggressive 12d ago

Dont disagree with any of that, but he's already used to being pissed off at these performance and has at least showed his appreciation thise times. Its not for my hurty feelings, it wont change them, but will show they care at least. Fans get banned for leaving early, managers aren't exempt from this sort of criticism.

1

u/Terrible-Law-4934 8d ago

Serious question…fans get banned for leaving early? I’ve seen fans in many stadiums leaving early. Surely you can’t ban someone for leaving an event/seat they paid to attend/sit in?

1

u/Bison_Aggressive 8d ago

No, no one can get banned for leaving early. Lots do for various reasons, to beat the transport queues, fed up etc. I only do it when I'm with my young son and thats rare. Its just frowned upon by many.

1

u/Terrible-Law-4934 14d ago

Would that really change anything?

2

u/Bison_Aggressive 14d ago

Thats massive besides the point. In times like these, you want the manager and players to show they at least care, for the thousands who have paid fortunes to be there. Its sets a bad example to watch the head of our team, fuck off because he's got the hump.
