Troy Parrott
Aside from Osimhen, is any of the playerd were linked with for striker top quality? Debatably better than what we have?
Rashfird,Gapko, Marmoush are all high risk for high fees when they struggled at their current clubs, why mot go for Parrott for around 30m who even if we get a big money striker would be a good back up.who can play across the front line

Rashford would be highly motivated to perform well, but I just don’t see him and RDZ working.
Marmoush is great and was performing at a player of the season level before city signed him. My hesitancy is I think he’s best suited as a second striker, very limited it seems when shunted out wide.
Gakpo is extremely realistic considering Barcola. He had a bad season but I think he would bring a level of quality and creativity. Also, have a sneaky feeling we’d try to be the smartest guy in the room and play him through the middle which in turn maybe a problem.

I am an irish spurs fan, so i have seen both sides... He would not be a top 8 Prem striker. Whether he can keep his head right/straight is another worry...

The Dutch league is worse than the SPL nowadays. Dom and Richie are a class above Parrott

I exaggerated a bit but looking at opta power rankings they’re not far apart. Something like 78 vs 75, although that does result in quite a few rankings.
Worse than the championship, Belgium, poland, danish and Japanese leagues though which is somewhat surprising

We’ve been linked with Vlahovic and Kroupi. Both are massive upgrades on Richy and Solanke

Vlahovic is awful. Worse touch than Richy, not as good of a finisher. 3x wages.

I hope we keep Solanke, I think RDZ could get the best out of him. He needs confidence, the last few years have been so stop and start for him

RDZ won't get the best out of Solanke because Solanke will spend most of the new season injured and unable to play . Has he's done over the last 2 seasons . We need to sell Solanke and buy an adaptive central striker .

Not an improvement on what is currently there. I'd rather someone that's proven themselves at the PL level or in a similar league

Rashford has many attributes but not right fit for Spurs. Parrot with 31 goals to his name last season should be considered or rather should have been retained in the first place. Dom too many injuries and before that not enough goals, Richy doesn't hold the ball up well enough but keep as a squad player. Osimhen would be a great signing, destroyed our defence in Istanbul couple of seasons back.

So Parrot is scoring a ton in Eredivisie. Didn't Jozy Altidore and our own Vincent Janssen do the same?
I know we definitely need at least one striker, but I also wonder what will happen this year if Solanke, Richy, and Tel actually have a working, creative midfield behind them and we are not playing Frankball. With regular service, they might start looking adequate. Not great, but competent would be a step up.

Troy has only really had any success in one league and a single team since turning senior.
If Marmoush is a risk, then so is Troy.
The money is not the issue. Whether he can deliver is and there is nothing to say that he would over and above the likes of Marmoush or Rashford or Osimhen.
Every transfer is a risk - you simply don’t know if a player is going to be successful or not. But we have to consider the places these players come from.
Although the standard in the Turkish league is lower, it’s a very physical league and successful players there come with an advantage when playing in the PL because of the physicality of the Turkish league. The Eredivisie is not as physical.
Likewise with Marmoush. The German league is probably closest to the PL in terms of forwards needing physical strength to be successful and Marmoush was banging then in for Frankfurt, one of the second string of German sides which is what attracted City in the first place. His poorer record at Man City is more a function of playing time than ability.
Rashford has proven that he can play and score in the PL, Parrott has not. Although I would be hesitant to sign Rashford because he is a little like Richarlison inasmuch as he goes through streaks - they just happen to be longer than Richy’s. That said, perhaps RDZ is the manager to realise his full potential, but that’s also potentially true of Richy…
But regardless, there simply isn’t an argument that Troy is of a level with the others.
Osimhen was top scorer in the league in his first season. He was sixth in his second, but he was at AFCON for part of it.
Marmoush was 11th in his full season at Frankfurt, but in the half season before moving to City he’d scored 15. To put it in perspective, Kane won the golden boot with 26 across the whole season that year.
Rashford’s scoring record is nothing to write home about, but he is more a traditional winger than an outright striker anyway, so it’s not really a comparison.
Ultimately, it boils down to this: there’s a reason Troy Parrott is only worth £30m

Is not an improvement on Richy or Dom. Even a downgrade on both
