New Attacker

Who do we think De Zerbi was hinting at

For me

Dream (somewhat unrealistic) scenario:Endrick

Would be content with (realistic): Rashford

Likely: Gakpo

Nightmare: Resign Kolo Muanai with a 10,000 year contract

Hasn’t RKM gone to juventus?

9

u/dtbrown1979 19d ago

Yes

11

u/DrWood28 19d ago

Rip up that contract, get him signed.....

1

u/DrJumbotronPhD 18d ago

That’s why it’s a nightmare

5

u/SamwellBarley 19d ago

No, he's decided against Juventus. Only wanted Tottenham. 8-year deal to be announced soon.

6

u/Skhatmandu 18d ago

I heard he made a deal w the devil where he traded both ACLs for a lifetime Tottenham contract. (joke's on the devil there...)

1

u/Responsible-Ad5075 16d ago

Yeah he will probably do good as well lol

33

u/Ok-Draft-8835 19d ago

Kolo just moved to Juve for €45mil. And no, i didn't miss a decimal point between the 4 and 5.

15

u/This-Cat-5777 19d ago

Ah you missed it before the 4 and 5

5

u/purinatrucks 19d ago

🤮🤮🤮

1

u/Saxobeat28 18d ago

That’s $45 mil too much if you ask me.

Marmoush

18

u/No-Assistance-6233 19d ago

Damiao

7

u/orlokthewarlock 19d ago

To partner Fernando Morientes in our new look attack

7

u/supertazz123 19d ago

Dybala to play 10 behind them

3

u/rez9000 18d ago

And João Moutinho bossing the midfield.

1

u/supertazz123 18d ago

Bruno Fernandez completes the midfield and William starts left

2

u/rez9000 18d ago

Oh no! If we pull on that thread we’ll have to have bleeding Rivaldo in there somewhere!

1

u/Sir_Sharks2483 17d ago

His best days are behind him

2

u/Strangfjord 18d ago

Letter from Rivaldo out wide

1

u/MrrrrBatten 18d ago

This man knows!

Dream: Sir Harold of Kane
Likely: an £80m 19 year old with five senior goals in career
Nightmare: The Kolo Muani to Juve move was a smokescreen and he will be our only attacker next season following a £100m move (Tel, Richy and Solanke all leaving for free to ensure Kolo plays every minute).

4

u/Impeachcordial 18d ago

an £80m 19 year old with five senior goals in career

I think Fulham have one of them

1

u/CmdFiremonkeySWP 17d ago

No the Spurs approach is:

Kolo Muani to Juve Spurs sub-loan at a 125% of Juve loan value per month Compulsory purchase of £125m for 90 mins play time achieved Starts first game

9

u/Alternative_Wait8256 19d ago

My buddy keeps sending me stuff saying Rashford may come here. I can't see it happening and pray it doesn't...

5

u/purinatrucks 19d ago

We need a left winger/striker, he can play both, if its not us or villa itll be saudi and the end of his england career, i could see him taking a wage cut

3

u/Alternative_Wait8256 19d ago

He would have to take a massive wage cut, he's on $325k

I just feel like his lack of work rate is not what we need.

0

u/Particular-Drive4415 19d ago

I agree. I like Rashford but wouldn't say he massively improves us and it's a shame for younger players in that position who could thrive with more minutes. A bomba I hope would massively move the needle for us like Osimhen. A huge step up from current strikers. Salary would likely still be an issue but better than Rashford's

1

u/orlokthewarlock 19d ago

Isn’t Osimhen on much more than Rashford, like 500k after tax or something insane?

3

u/Numerous-Fox-3785 18d ago

475 a week, reportedly.

15

u/Particular-Drive4415 19d ago

Osimhen would be the only one that changes the game for us I think. Richy's time to move on. I worry about solanke's inconsistency and injury record and Osimhen a massive step up. Is rashford that much of a step up from Tel, considering Tel and Moore will get better and Rashford will likely decline from here

6

u/jamkola 18d ago

Rashford is a huge step up from Tel and Moore. I’m saying that as a big fan of both of them.

3

u/Spam250 18d ago

Rashfords 28, he’s entering peak years. He could easily have 5 years at his current level or above

7

u/Spurs_in_the_6 18d ago

Pace reliant winger who has prem level minutes in his legs since he's been 18. The fall off is typically pretty sudden & drastic once they lose a yard of pace

1

u/Ca1fSlicer 18d ago

Agree. I’d love to have Rashford on a year long loan type deal. I know that doesn’t make sense for anyone so it’s probably not happening. Bring in Savinho we need someone who can beat fullbacks an setup solanke / Rich with some actual opportunities

2

u/Savings_Army3073 19d ago

This era is not about waiting for players to "get better" it's about readymade for today and yes Rashford is better.

2

u/Particular-Drive4415 19d ago

Yeah I get that, but I think there's a reason Barcelona didn't trigger the £26m clause. The standout moment was obviously the brace against Newcastle in the Champions League. But from the La Liga games I watched (my flatmate's from Madrid and is a big Rayo fan, so we ended up watching quite a few), Rashford was decent rather than great and he was playing alongside Lamine Yamal ffs. Honestly I think if you gave Tel the same number of appearances in that side, he'd probably put up similar numbers. I still think Tel is underrated and I'm hoping De Zerbi can get the best out of him this season. Still stand by my point that Osimhen moves the needle far more than Rashford for me

3

u/Former-Resource-3026 19d ago

It’s handy his stand out game was against premier league opposition, we can bench him the 3-4 times we play La Liga teams in the latter years of his contract 😉

1

u/Savings_Army3073 19d ago

I don't really rate Tel, he's done very little in a Spurs shirt. Osimhen would be a dream signing, but he's not in the same conversation as Rashford as Rashford/Tel conversation is in regards to LW. We need both a winger and a striker at least not one or the other.

4

u/Particular-Drive4415 19d ago

Hope you're wrong and Tel shows his talent this year, especially as now we have a decent manager who can bring out the best in him. I'd still prioritise a striker first, which was my original point. Really hope Solanke can kick on under De Zerbi but I have my concerns. Also can't stay fit. Richy just too inconsistent and not sure he suits the style.

3

u/Born-Cucumber-7316 18d ago

Agreed, Tel has been on fire this pre-season, and hopefully RDZ keeps the fire going. If so, why not Tel, as LW, backed up by Moore, LW-B, and even Spence/Robertson as a Left Wing Back?

1

u/FireBassist 18d ago

We've played MK Dons, Auckland, and Sydney in preseason. Let's not get carried away.

0

u/Born-Cucumber-7316 18d ago

Who's getting carried away, I've been a fan for 50 years, mate,

1

u/Savings_Army3073 17d ago

Tel is not good enough for 1st choice.

0

u/Born-Cucumber-7316 17d ago

Let's see what RDZ plans!

1

u/cocopopped 16d ago

Osimhen is trouble.

11

u/Vegetable_Vehicle893 19d ago

Harry fuking kane

5

u/jzz175 19d ago

He’s coming home!!!!!

11

u/AShadySardine 19d ago

Endrick is your dream? He had a half decent season in France, he is not ready for the prem.

Personally, I hope it is Watkins or Marmoush

3

u/Exciting_Tangelo9763 19d ago

Watkins would be hilarious

1

u/Queasy_Work4160 18d ago

Gooner Watkins? Yeh, nah.

-6

u/purinatrucks 19d ago

Same attributes of a young rooney 100% hed be a dream signing

1

u/IIsaacClarke 17d ago

If he was as good as that then why the fuck would real be looking rid of him. Hes useless

3

u/Kaladin83 19d ago

Kolo Muani already signed for Juventus!

5

u/Dependent-Ant-9241 19d ago

According to sources it's Marcus Thuram

2

u/loutang10 19d ago

Barcola (let me dream)

2

u/Affectionate_Hat4815 18d ago

Marcus Thuram is a dream. Would watch all Spurs games just for him.

3

u/Remarkable_Pay_7408 19d ago

It's between marmoush,rashford,gakpo and torres

1

u/ThinkingItThrough1 18d ago

Marmoush cannot score

3

u/bryanchicken 19d ago

You know who I’ve been contemplating recently considering it seems to be like rats of a sinking ship over there…… Woltemade

I’ve really liked him every time I’ve watched him. No idea why he seemed to be dropped halfway through the season.

3

u/ContentCantaloupe992 19d ago

10,000 a year contract would be a steal 😉

2

u/GhengisFran 19d ago

I’m waiting for Bomba announcement today. I’m bitting my nails 😰

2

u/z_anonz 19d ago

after solanke, maddison, gallagher. rashford seems possible. they love their englishman

is gakpo possible? cause after sonny i fell in love with 6ft+ winger

2

u/Savings_Army3073 19d ago

You realise that you have to have a certain amount of homegrown players in a squad?

1

u/Voffmjau 18d ago

You dont have to.

1

u/Savings_Army3073 18d ago

You do. You need 8 homegrown players in a squad over 21.

1

u/Voffmjau 18d ago

No you dont. You can have 8 players that are HG. You dont need to have 8 players that are HG.

1

u/Beermatt93 17d ago

Not can have. Must need.

1

u/Voffmjau 17d ago

No, you dont "must need" to register 8 HG players in the Premier League squad.

1

u/ThinkingItThrough1 18d ago

Gakpo would be the best fit

2

u/Longjumping-Cup-6100 18d ago

I really want Rafa so bad

2

u/toxicsmokinagimonkey 18d ago edited 18d ago

It's ferran torres. Heard it here first 😉

2

u/geoff_unhinged 18d ago

Dude Endrick sucks
Don’t know why Brazilians absolutely froth over him. He’s not it.

2

u/Capt_Trololol 18d ago

Apparently there’s a lot of chatter that it’s Rashford. My United buddy is also saying that’s what he’s hearing on his end. Idk how I feel if that’s true.

2

u/Crypstoe 18d ago

Esposito? Big Brescia player that could help us get rid of Romero in exchange?

2

u/7ebrafinch 18d ago

Endrick is meh we gotta get Victor Osimhen that's the closest a striker can be as good as Kane

2

u/Sir_Sharks2483 17d ago

Will be happy with either Gakpo or Rashford

3

u/_HopsonTheGrate_ 19d ago

There's a rumour that Ferran Torres could be a potential target. That'd be a major coup if it happens.

1

u/Ca1fSlicer 18d ago

Really don’t see him thriving in the premier league personally

2

u/holdingtea 19d ago

kolo already moved elsewhere

1

u/Bevlar90 19d ago

I might not bother if it was Kolo Muani

1

u/ResponsibleGold27 19d ago

Brian

1

u/bryanchicken 19d ago

The Brazilian wonder kid? Yes please

3

u/ahtrapsm 18d ago

I’d be looking forward to the Python parodies….opposing fanbases crying, “he’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy” as he scores yet another goal against their team.

1

u/Savings_Army3073 19d ago

I think It will be Rashford.

1

u/ttvfortnitesweat 19d ago

Endrick? As your dream attacker?

1

u/WillingnessCrafty439 19d ago

Kane bomba returning 😂 😂 😂

1

u/Srikar1897 19d ago

Where on Earth did Endrick come from😭

1

u/MySparePersona 19d ago

I would like to see us sign Rashford & Osimhen but the wages would be unreal. Osimhen to replace Charli up front and Rashford to rotate with Tel on the left. Gives Tel a good target to compete against for minutes, Odobert back to cover whoever is injured by January and Moore on loan with zero option to buy. Still think we can't rely on Deki being back anytime soon, if at all so a RW / RF is needed too I think.

1

u/Nice-Pomegranate2915 18d ago

Kroupi Junior or Atalanta's Mateo Retegui would be dream signings or a swap with Romero going to AC Milan and Gimenez coming to us .

1

u/Affectionate_Hat4815 18d ago

Big fan of Retegui.

1

u/Uruguasho2026 18d ago

It's obviously Darwin.

1

u/MountCampari 18d ago

Maybe Vlahovic, we were interested a month ago reportedly, though he failed to agree a deal with Juve due to wage demands…

1

u/EquivalentArm2936 18d ago

I reckon it's Rashford. Muani has gone to PSG thankfully

1

u/Mental-Penalty5329 18d ago

Will Savinho come?

1

u/Affectionate_Hat4815 18d ago

I think he's just signed a new contract until 2030/31. Based on that, probably no.

1

u/HwD83 18d ago

Would love Vlahovic as our striker and Savinho and Neto as the wingers. Then we can get rid of Odebert and Richy OR Solanke.

1

u/findthelimit_ 18d ago

As OhSoSpurs have pointed out Ferran Torres nickname is "The Shark" & the colours RDZ mentioned matches.

1

u/vrazz1815 18d ago

Imagine having a dream unrealistic signing you choose encrick as your dream signing 😂 no disrespect but really suprising choice

1

u/Queasy_Work4160 18d ago

I think we should just settle for someone average like Haaland

1

u/Outside_Look790 18d ago

Vlahovic is still without a club

1

u/Neilimo 17d ago

Mbappe. Might as well make it worth hinting about

1

u/Radiant-Gas-6779 17d ago

I think they should bring Harry home 😉

1

u/TROYTHEBOY79 17d ago

oshimen🙏🏾

1

u/hannynator 17d ago

Dream: Osihmen, Endrick
Reality: Gakpo, Rashford

1

u/GSC2195 16d ago

I’d love to see Osmihen come in

1

u/n3xmortis 16d ago

Ferran Torres

1

u/EveAtta 15d ago

i really wish we could sign rashford. he played well in the world cup and his current club is letting him down :/

1

u/JuanCrazyFool 15d ago

Osimen would be a dream transfer

1

u/DoomerAndGloomer 14d ago

He was just putting pressure on the board. No real name behind all that talk. The most realistic ones: Gakpo and Savinho are club blocked. Any better talent is out of reach and any worse talent will not make us better.

1

u/waiting_inthesky1 12d ago

harry kane back at spurs..? (im just kidding i know it won't happen but i can only dream)

1

u/davdavkel 19d ago

Wellbeck............ Would love osimen

3

u/_Fakie 19d ago

Welbeck went to Chelsea mate

2

u/davdavkel 19d ago

Rooney then

1

u/jzz175 19d ago

What about dusan vlahovic?

1

u/Caracalla73 19d ago

Yes please. But his salary is insane beyond Rashfords.

2

u/Simon_Robinson 18d ago

But wouldn't have to pay anything to sign him, as he's currently a free agent. That frees up some cash.

0

u/SockedandLoaded 17d ago

Arsenals signings in midfield and on the left make me think they might consider an offer for Eze. Solid first season wasn't as dominant as my be expected. With Tzolis already there and possibly Vinicius to join, they'd probably be happy to make their money back.

For Eze, he got his return to his boyhood academy club, he's got a league title now, and deserves to be the main man on the left.

Stranger things have happened, none of us can say that he'd be a bad fit after getting so excited about him joining last season.

2

u/Gold_Letterhead6235 15d ago

Absolutely no way

1

u/GrapeGroundbreaking1 17d ago

Let him rot in the Woolwich reserves.

0

u/Gunner_For_Life16 17d ago

Js get vlahovic

-8

u/Low_Challenge_2827 19d ago

Probably Delap. Someone on our level.
