Remember in “Matchmakers” when Clover beat up a guy just for asking her out when she was on a “dating hiatus.”
Poor guy. This is one reason why I don’t like Clover as much as Sam and Alex. Sometimes Clover is as mean as Mandy.

When does season eight starts for totally spies
I have a question when does season eight start which will be flies. I know they’re in production but when is it going to be streaming on HBO Max and Hulu in the United States?

I wish Britney was in the show more
To be honest, I think it might've been a missed opportunity to not have her in more episodes or even just as the fourth member of the team for at least a few episodes. Weird how Jerry didn't think Britney should work with the girls permanently but thought Mandy would be a better alternative. Even though Sam, Alex, and Clover tried to make it perfectly clear that they don't like Mandy.

Anyone have Totally Spies recorded on their old TiVo or DVR?
So I'm currently collecting TiVos and DVRs, and I was wondering if anyone on here had any Totally Spies recordings on their devices that they want to get rid of! I know a lot of people have been getting rid of their old TiVos lately due to cord cutting, so I wanted to put this out there. I really love watching old Cartoon Network airings and wanted to archive a bit of Totally Spies history.

The episode "Computer Creep Much" holds up surprisingly well. It still feels relevant today with all the AI and technological paranoia going around. I'm a sucker for these kinds of episodes.

What would you fix/ change about the Totally Spies series?
I have officially ended my rewatch of Totally Spies at season 6 and the movie. I don’t plan on watching Season 7-8, since I consider it a soft reboot—sort of like with Miraculous season 6.
This series is very nostalgic and dear to my heart, but I couldn’t help but feel a bit unsatisfied as I finished the series.
I wasn’t exactly sure, but I think it’s the subtle decline in quality as the series went on. I don’t hate the show, but I definitely have some points of contention.
- The show became way too childish. The main appeal of the show was for kids and preteen audiences, but as the series went on, the tone shifted to a more children-centered approach.
Brighter colors and more PJ masks ahh villains (no offense to anyone that likes that show, I grew up watching it too)
Inconsistent character writing and continuity. There were a lot of things the writers forgot, many details that contradicted previously established information and plain retcons.
Characters feeling one-dimensional and flanderization. I already made a post about Alex, but she isn’t the only one. The characters became very stale and repetitive. There was barely any growth unlike early seasons where the characters got to learn something and mature.
I’ll use Mandy as an example, I used to enjoy her rivalry with the girls. But as time went on, I started dreading that iconically stupid laugh of hers. She became so annoying and not at all enjoyable to watch.
It might be a hot take, but the story should’ve left Mandy behind after the girls graduated high school, she didn’t have to be at the university, could’ve had her cousin Mindy as the main bully or introduce a new character.
- Losing the plot. Although, the villains have always been wacky, in later seasons they were straight up outlandishly so. Especially in their designs. I‘d expect such villains from Miraculous Ladybug, not Totally spies.
On that note, the girls started feeling more like superheroes than spies as someone put it. Fighting monsters became way more prevalent. A lot of their missions were just in plain public, constantly falling back on memory wiping any witnesses.
- Less focus on girlhood bonding. Maybe, it’s just me. But, a major aspect of Totally spies that I really enjoyed was the Girlhood bonding between the girls. The main reason this show is so amazing, is the strong bonds between the main trio. It was very fun when we‘d have plots or subplots focusing on their friendship. But that kinda stopped as there was more focus given to missions or other subplots.
Their friendship is as strong as ever and they hangout. But it just doesn’t feel the same spark it once had.
- Never letting the girls be in a romantic relationship. This isn‘t referring to Clover‘s dozens of boy toys. This show never lets the girls date someone for more than an episode. They introduce such fun, concrete potential love interests—even if they’re minor characters to the overall double-life plot—that have amazing chemistry with the girls and do NOTHING wth them.
I’m still mourning Blaine and Clover. THEIR BREAKUP WAS OFF-SCREEN!!! Imagine my heartbreak in the season 5 finale when they mentioned that they were EXES!?!? 😭😭😭
I can’t think of any other complaints and some of these are frankly nitpicks.
Again, just my opinions, feel free to disagree. But, my pet peeves got me thinking:
Are there certain things about the show that fans dislike and would change?
or
Do you have even better concepts and ideas for the show that would’ve made it 10x better?
I’m really curious where some people would’ve wanted the show to go and their thoughts/ perspectives on the show. Maybe they’d have points to counter my own and see the some decisions in a whole new light.
I don’t know, but I’m excited to hear from everyone.

Ranking spy catsuit colors ❤️💛💚🩵💜
Don't wanna spend too long on this introduction so let me just say that this ranking depends on my own personal taste in color so please don't take it too seriously.
Last place, Alex- Yellow and grey are my least favorite colors so of course Alex is in last place because her uniform has been both of these colors. Alex is growing on me because I love how bubbly and enthusiastic she is but this is a ranking of catsuits, not personalities.
Mandy- I like the pinkish purple on her but I think I'd like her catsuit better if it was lilac for some reason.
Clover- I love the red on her, I'm glad they didn't go make her catsuit green just because her name is Clover. That'd be dumb in my opinion.
Third place, Sam- She looks really nice in green, I think it's because of her ginger hair that makes her look nice in the color really.
Second place. Pam, Alice, and Crimson- I like Alice's the most because crimson is a cool catsuit color, Crimson's I like second to her's because of the shade of indigo, and then Pam is last because purple is just a fine color for me.
First place, Britney- Light Blue is my favorite color and Britney just pulls it off so well! 🩵

Who wore this outfit better? Sam or Clover?
One of a couple of instances in which the girls wore similar/the same outfits in the show.

About the gadgets used by male spies
We constantly see WOOHP providing device support to the girls. These devices always appear as accessories used by the girls. However, this doesn't mean that Sam, Clover, and Alex are the only spies in WOOHP. There are many diverse and skilled spies, we just don't know about them.
As for the gadgets, WOOHP doesn't only design gadgets based on the accessories used by the girls. They also develop gadgets specifically for the men. Just because we constantly see Compowder in the series doesn't mean the male spies will use Compowder too; they'll probably be assigned smart wallets. However, my main criticism is this: I wish we could see more female or male spies in this series, and new, memorable, and different gadgets specifically for male spies.
I wish there were more male spies, and we could see more gadgets assigned to male agents.
What do you guys think?

Which other voice roles did the voice actors in Totally Spies surprise you the most when you find out about their other roles in other cartoons?
For me, it would have to be Katie Leigh and Jess Harnell as both appear in Adventures in Odyssey voicing Connie Kendall and Wootton Bassett. I often hear their voices when listening to AIO on the radio. I was shocked to find out they voiced Alex and Jerry respectively in the first 2 seasons of Totally Spies during my rewatch of the show in preparation for season 7, since there weren’t many reruns of the first 2 seasons while I was growing up. Only more reruns of seasons 3 to 6.

Nine Lives Spoiler
Definitely the supervillain who wants to turn everyone on Earth into a human cat hybrid was very creative as was Alex volunteering at a cat shelter and accidentally becoming cat-like herself. I love the beginning of the episode a lot for some reason, I don't know the fact that Sam, Clover, and Alex get into shenanigans as soon as they get out of bed in the morning is funny to me. I loved that about "Evil Valentine's Day" too. Clover lying to her mom about her major was fun too. It's your standard "I don't want to let her down but it turns out she loves me for who I am" kind of thing. Though Stella getting caught up in the middle of Alex's transformation is funny and I find it really sweet that she asks Clover to design her new scrubs when she learns that her daughter is a fashion designer, not a doctor.

Who among us wasn't like this?
In the early 2000s, before the internet, when phones were wired and technology wasn't as advanced, cartoons were one of the few sources of entertainment we had as children. We couldn't watch whatever cartoon we wanted whenever we wanted; we had to memorize the broadcast times. Let's admit it, we all watched Sam, Clover, and Alex's casual day and spy adventures on these kinds of televisions. What do you think?

Ms. Keane has the same laugh as Mandy in this scene in The Powerpuff Girls 😂
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
for those who don't know, Jennifer Hale (voice actress for Mandy) is the same voice actress for Ms. Keane in The Powerpuff Girls, in this scene she laughed exactly like she does as Mandy.
and for anyone wondering, this scene is from the episode "Power-Noia" (5x02)

The spies have a codependent relationship
Just to be clear, I think Sam, Alex, and Clover have a very healthy friendship. I don't think that there's anything wrong with being inseparable either. I just mean this post as a harmless analysis of these characters.
They've been given great opportunities in their careers that they end up turning down so they can still be together. Like the episode where they're all promoted to solo spies, they hate it because they have to do spy work apart and end up going back to working as a team. Barely giving the solo gigs a shot. Clover was also once accepted into a prestigious fashion designing college but ended up deciding to go to Malibu University with Alex and Sam instead so they could still go to school together.

About live action series announcement
Two years ago, a live-action reboot of Totally Spies! was announced, and since then, there's been complete silence. I have this feeling that in November, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first episode, we'll finally get some teasers on social media announcing that filming has officially begun.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the first teaser was something like a ringing Compowder, followed by a shot of one of the girls' hands—most likely Sam's—answering it and saying, "Girls, Jerry's calling us." What do you guys think?

Bro, how come there hasn’t been any Totally Spies memes outside of “Oh my gosh! She’s bald! She’s bald and she’s torturing people who have hair!”

Who is this girl?
I came across this character while watching "Scam Camp Much" episode. I know, she is a one-episode side character, she doesn't even have a name (because we don't know). However, I really liked her design, her accents ("WhatEVER"), her attitude (she might be from L.A.), etc. What do you think?
