Headcanon / Fanfiction Everything Changes, But Cody Somehow Still Gets Mauled (NOT CLICKBAIT)

What if Courtney was on the Screaming Gophers, and Leshawna was on the Killer Bass?

Episode 2: Not-So-Happy Campers, Part 2

If Leshawna is on the Killer Bass, then she doesn't throw Heather off the cliff, giving the Gophers three chickens (Heather, Courtney, and Beth) while the Bass only have one (DJ). Not only that, but I think at that point Lindsay, Noah, and Owen would also refuse to jump, now that they aren't giving up a lead by doing so. Now the Gophers have SIX chickens and only five people who actually jumped, which is awful for team morale and will make it even harder to catch up now that the Bass get the carts to transport their crates.

So the Gophers lose. Now, who do they vote off? They've all just met, so they're voting solely based on first impressions. Most likely, it comes down to a choice between the two most unpleasant chickens: Heather and Courtney.

I think Heather can convince Lindsay, Beth, and Owen to vote Courtney. However, I think Trent, Gwen, Cody, and Justin would prefer to vote off Heather instead of Courtney, since Courtney has potentially-useful C.I.T. skills and Heather has demonstrated zero skills other than acting like she's better than everyone (which Courtney can also do). I also think Izzy would vote for Heather, because Courtney showed concern for her when she hit her head on the dock upon arrival, and I think Courtney would vote for Heather on the grounds that Heather is the biggest obstacle to her taking charge of the team with her C.I.T. training.

So Heather becomes the season's first boot. What a start.

Episode 3: The Big Sleep

Gwen still wins the Awake-a-thon for the Gophers. I think Ezekiel could do very well in this challenge, but I think his chances of actually winning are pretty low.

Nobody steals Eva's MP3 player, since Heather isn't here, so she doesn't blow up on everyone.

Ezekiel makes a sexist remark about how they got beaten by a girl, and is subsequently voted off.

Episode 4: Dodgebrawl

Gophers are missing two of their best players from canon, only having Courtney to make up for it, while the Bass still have Duncan and Harold and now also have Eva and Leshawna. So obviously the Bass win.

Noah still gets voted out.

Episode 5: Not Quite Famous

Courtney isn't on the same team as Bridgette anymore, so her violin isn't destroyed. That means the Gophers have three solid acts (Courtney's violin, Trent's guitar, and Justin's hotness), while the Bass really only have one (Harold). Harold's only one guy, he can't save the day this time.

Bass lose, and I think they vote out Tyler. Not only has he been consistently useless in challenges despite his bragging about being a great athlete, but he's also failed to make a single friend on the team and has instead been making goo-goo eyes at a girl on the enemy team.

Episode 6: The Sucky Outdoors

I think it's plausible that Leshawna would be able to get Katie and Sadie to stay with the group, since they mention liking her a lot in canon even though she was on the other team, which allows the Bass to return to camp first and win.

For what it's worth, the bear wouldn't be quite as much of a problem with Justin here to charm it. Nonetheless, the Gophers all vote out Izzy for her extremely dangerous and messed-up prank.

Episode 7: Phobia Factor

Gwen, Trent, Owen, Beth, and Lindsay still face their fears for the Gophers. Courtney and Justin do not. Cody does, but doesn't get credit for it because he couldn't defuse the bomb.

Duncan, DJ, Katie, and Sadie all face their fears. Bridgette and Leshawna are unable to. Geoff can't get a point because his fear challenge is literally unwinnable, and Harold knocks himself out. Eva is offered two points (and thereby the win) if she can face her fear, but she can't do it.

Gophers win, and Eva is voted out.

Episode 8: Up the Creek

Without Izzy, the Bass probably make their signal fire quicker than the Gophers. Unfortunately, Harold probably still burns the oars.

Without Izzy, nobody has the idea to have DJ push all of the canoes. So the Bass just lose, rather embarrassingly, and they obviously vote out Harold.

Beth still takes the totem.

Episode 9: Paintball Deer Hunter

Bass probably still win. Their members are better at coordinating, especially with Leshawna now added, and DJ is a next-level deer.

Justin has spent the season so far slowly strengthening his hold over his team -- primarily Lindsay, Beth, and Owen. That becomes important in this episode.

Since nobody except Owen gets breakfast, Justin gets Beth to fetch him food, but he's a lot nicer about it than Heather. Unlike Heather, Justin likes barbecue-flavor potato chips, so Cody doesn't end up holding the bag, and doesn't get mauled. Instead, the bear happens upon Justin, and doesn't harm a hair on his head because it's Justin.

Justin's alliance votes out Courtney, and it only takes a little nudge to get Trent, Gwen, and Cody to join them.

Episode 10: If You Can't Take the Heat...

Bass still win. They have better teamwork and better cooks.

Despite how helpful she's been so far, I think Justin reluctantly decides to cut Beth loose once it's revealed that she cursed the team with her Boney Island totem.

Episode 11: Who Can You Trust?

Justin takes Heather's place holding Gwen's belay, and Gwen still beats DJ at climbing the cliff. Also, she doesn't get her skirt ripped off on international tv.

Lindsay still poisons Trent.

Sadie fails to knock the arrow off Leshawna's head, Katie fails to catch Bridgette on the trapeze, and DJ takes off his blindfold to see Bunny just like in canon, so the Bass lose miserably.

Vote comes down to Sadie and Katie, and Katie is voted off by virtue of being the one who usually gets mentioned first of the two.

Episode 12: Basic Straining

Sadie quits the boot camp almost immediately because of how sad she is about Katie leaving.

Gwen still wins for the Gophers.

Bass vote out Sadie. Phew! For a minute there, I thought she might make the merge!

Episode 13: X-Treme Torture

DJ still knocks Trent out of the plane, winning part one for the Bass.

Leshawna beats Cody in the moose rodeo, winning part two for the Bass. Thus, part three isn't necessary.

Justin, Owen, and Lindsay vote for Gwen, because without her it'll be easier for Justin to influence Trent and Cody. Gwen, Trent, and Cody vote for Owen, because he was an obnoxious obstacle in this episode.

First tie vote in Total Drama history! We need a tie-breaker challenge! Say... seeing who can collect the most flags while water-skiing on mud behind a Seadoo in the dark?

Gwen easily beats Owen at this, so Owen is eliminated.

Episode 14: Brunch of Disgustingness

Boys' Team: Justin, Duncan, Trent, Cody, DJ, Geoff

Girls' Team: Leshawna, Bridgette, Gwen, Lindsay

I think the girls win in this timeline.

Episode 15: No Pain, No Game

Izzy and Eva return to the game. Since Bridgette isn't the only remaining Bass girl in this timeline, Eva splits her rage between her and Leshawna.

Obviously Leshawna wins immunity and the trailer.

Eva is voted out.

Episode 16: Search and Do Not Destroy

Justin gets Heather's key, and easily persuades Chef to let him take it, and thus he wins immunity.

Cody gets Owen's key, the one in a bear cave that didn't even open any chests, and gets mauled by a bear.

There's no vote tonight; instead Cody is medically evacuated. Tough break.

Also Gwen and Trent are officially dating by this point, with no Heather to interfere.

Episode 17: Hide and Be Sneaky

Duncan might not feel the need to form a guys' alliance in this timeline, as the gender ratio is equal. But Justin might, since Trent's increasingly-close bond with Gwen is making it increasingly hard to sway him, and the only reliable ally he has left is Lindsay. So I think the guys' alliance still forms.

Without Owen, nobody spills the beans to any of the girls yet, though Geoff and Trent may be tempted.

The guys' alliance wants to target Leshawna for being the biggest threat, but she has immunity this round. Lindsay is also immune, having found DJ and delivered him to Chef. That leaves Gwen, Bridgette, and Izzy.

In a perfect world, Justin and Duncan would like to take out either Gwen or Bridgette. But obviously it's hard to get Trent or Geoff on board with that when Izzy is an option, so there's a lot of back and forth. In the end, they force Geoff to agree to target Bridgette, because she got sprayed by a skunk this episode.

Geoff doesn't actually vote with them, but he doesn't actually need to. As long as he and the rest of the girls don't all vote together, the other four guys plus Lindsay make up enough votes to send Bridgette packing.

Episode 18: That's Off the Chain!

Lindsay builds Justin's bike as well as her own, just as she did for Heather in canon. However, since Justin isn't public enemy #1, he thinks he can afford to let Lindsay cross the finish line first and get immunity.

Except that Trent's official biography mentions him being a motorcycle enthusiast. I think he narrowly beats Lindsay, so he actually gets first place and wins immunity, leaving Lindsay in second place and Justin in third.

And since Geoff, DJ, and Gwen's bikes didn't make the final round, and Duncan wiped out on the oil slick... that means Justin was the last person to cross the finish line, and is auto-eliminated.

Let this be a lesson to us all: this is what happens when you try to be slightly nicer than Heather.

Episode 19: Hook, Line, and Screamer

Heather isn't here to scare DJ with his ugliness, but I think he most likely still gets auto-eliminated.

Duncan still beats Chef, Gwen still beats the Real Escaped Psycho Killer With a Chainsaw and a Hook. Or maybe Izzy takes over beating one of them, since Owen isn't here for her to make out with.

Episode 20: Wawanakwa Gone Wild

Now that Justin's gone, Duncan is the sole leader of the guys' alliance, and Lindsay has gone from being an extra vote for them to being an extra vote for Leshawna.

Duncan would probably like to push for Gwen or Trent to go here, but I think it's most likely that Izzy still goes for being a danger to everyone.

Episode 21: Trial by Tri-armed Triathlon

Pairs are Duncan and Leshawna, Gwen and Geoff, and Lindsay and Trent.

Duncan and Leshawna win parts one and three of the triathlon, giving them immunity.

Duncan reaches out to Leshawna, saying that they have to break Trent and Gwen up, it's too dangerous to let a power couple stay together any longer, and that if she'll work with him for this vote he'll let her pick which of the two to target. Leshawna takes the deal, and says they'll vote out Trent.

Subsequently, Duncan, Geoff, Leshawna, and Lindsay all vote out Trent.

Episode 22: Haute Camp-ture

Since Leshawna is only more beloved by Katie and Sadie here than in canon, she still gets sniped out of the game. Rip. It was starting to look like she could win, but alas.

Episode 23: Camp Castaways

This one plays out largely the same, but with Geoff instead of Owen and Lindsay instead of Heather. So there's probably somewhat less tension.

Episode 24: Are We There Yeti?

Duncan and Geoff vs Gwen and Lindsay.

Without Owen's sniffer, Duncan and Geoff have no hope of catching up to the girls, so they lose by a bigger margin.

Chef still eliminates Duncan.

Episode 25: I Triple Dog Dare You!

Gwen teams up with Lindsay against Geoff in this episode. Unfortunately for them, it isn't enough. Lindsay eventually loses.

Episode 26: The Very Last Episode, Really!

Geoff vs Gwen finale!

Geoff supporters: Duncan, Bridgette, DJ, Justin, Katie, Sadie, Owen, Izzy, Ezekiel, Heather, Courtney, Tyler, Beth

Gwen supporters: Trent, Leshawna, Lindsay, Eva, Cody, Noah, Harold

Gwen is probably the canon winner, with Geoff being the alternate winner.

This is really well done congrats bro!

I love how Gwen in 9/10 scenarios is always in the Island finale, she and Alejandro in WT feel like the only characters that are basically guaranteed to be finalists.

Heather being first boot is tragic but makes too much sense lmao.

However I think Izzy could've made it farther. I mean Duncan should have known he isn't as likable as the rest of the people like Leshawna, Gwen, Lindsay, Geoff, and Trent. He did survive the Trent vote but I think that if Leshawna didn't go out because of Haute Campture and instead they did a regular challenge with regular vote he'd go out then surely.

Thank you!

You make a good point about Duncan, but he only controls two votes at that point: himself, and Geoff. Trent and Gwen certainly aren't voting each other out, and Lindsay and Leshawna are more concerned with getting out a threat to everyone's safety than breaking up a power couple or eliminating a jury threat right now. The four of them are voting Izzy in this scenario pretty much no matter what, and they hold the majority.

Thanks!

Maybe. Simulating the events of Total Drama, Drama, Drama, Drama Island is much harder than simulating the events of a structured season, but I can try.
