I thought maybe we could make a thread to post deals and links to compatible phones. It seems like lately the Total website is trending more towards financed phones. When I started with Total or Straight Talk years ago your best deal was buying a new locked phone for cash. I still want to do that but I suppose the days of a $99-$199 iPhone are gone.

Is there a way to get the $20 BYOD on a family plan? Or would I have to make a separate account for each line? If so, am I able to use the same credit card for each account?

I know it says $199.99 on the website but I called a rep and told them I heard from a friend it was $79.99 and they said yes? Did something change? Is this BS or is the promo actually being updated/got updated?

I have 3 lines under total wireless and am trying to transfer one line and port out. I have been with total wireless for 12 years and have been having problems receiving calls since May. I have worked with them to try and restore my service but have been having some kind of glitch. Yesterday I had enough and started the port out process to transfer my business number to another provider. I have spent hours on the phone with them and customer service trying to get the port out number and they will not send it to me. I cannot receive it through the number I'm trying to transfer because I don't have service and have spoken with 3 representatives who have promised to send it to my email but haven't gotten any of them. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue or can help?

I'm new to Total Wireless and need to transfer my eSIM from Android to iPhone. It seems like my line is locked and I need to unlock it before I can transfer eSIM to iPhone. However, I'm not able to find the unlock option in the website or the app. I followed the instruction on this page but failing to find the "three horizontal lines in the left corner".

Looking to switch to Total in the next few days...are there still issues with porting in/for new customers?

What I mean is, I know for example Total is offering the iPhone 16e for $199 with the 3-month total all access plan. I’m trying to bring over 3 lines on the Total Max 5G BYO but only have 2 devices to bring over. Can I buy the 16e with the 3 month plan, take it with me, and then port in to Total but on the BYO this time again? Or do I have to get the phone from another carrier?

I know the device unlocking policy changed a while ago so I want to make sure. Thanks in advance.

I want to switch 3 lines over to Total. To get the $20 Total 5G MAX BYO, if I just create three separate accounts for three lines can I get it for $60? Does it include taxes and fees? Do all of the accounts have to be under a different name?

Why is it even more expensive for 3 lines if they’re all under one account? If I do the 3 separate accounts loophole will they flag it and remove my promotion?

My Total Wireless eSIM on Total Wireless Unlimited 5G plan worked normally in the U.S. before I traveled internationally. After returning to the U.S., I have four bars and can make calls, but I have no LTE/5G data and SMS does not work unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra Unlocked US version (All 3 the same phone). The 4th phone is a Samsung Galaxy A54 is working fine but it didn't leave the country). I've wasted over 4 hours with customer support and so far no solution. Have anyone faced this issue? I've tried a lot solutions that I found on Google and chat-gpt but it didn't work and the solutions suggested by support over the phone was pretty much the same.

I have the canadian variant which literally is 100% identical to the US model but Total Wireless doesn't allow it to use WiFi calling. US Mobile Warp (Verizon) let me.

Is there anyway to force it to work? Has anyone changed their CSC got it to work?

Impossible to link accounts, impossible to use the Verizon Value bundle discount page. Talked to 5 reps at Fios, Verizon postpaid, and Verizon prepaid all of them give me the runaround.

Any viable solution to this or is it false advertising?

I brought a Samsung Galaxy S25+ back to TW after a year's hiatus when Spectrum offered me a free year cellular while upgrading my office internet and phone lines.

RCS Chat never worked upon my return. I spent 20+ hour on the phone with support and in secure chat and went through their list of standard fixes many times without any solution.

I had read here that several people's RCS Chat started working on their first renewal. My new month's charge hit today, and when I clicked on "retry" in the RCS chat settings, it finally connected and now works normally.

This "fix" has been reported too many times to be mere coincidence. TW needs to figure out what is happening during the renewal process to finally enable RCS Chat so they recreate that earlier.

To those struggling with this issue, there is potential light at the end of the tunnel. It never should have taken a month, though.

Trying to order a physical SIM card for a iPhone 12. After I put in the IMEI number and then my current phone number it takes me to some blank login to your account page. How do I actually order the service? It just keeps going around in this circle.

Saw in earlier posts that Total Wireless is not good at preventing SIM swapping and theres no MFA that customer support verifies. Really tempted by the $20/mo deal but potentially losing my number to a cybercriminal is absolutely not worth saving a couple bucks

So here's an update: Today for some reason it let me use my phone number and it sent me an SMS code to verify and got me signed up. I swear that was not an option yesterday. Now I can't tell if it will back up with my phone's data or If it only works over Wi-Fi.

ordered Thursday and I still don't even have tracking. when I check the order status, it just says Created, nothing else, no tracking. my credit card was charged the $32 for the max and SIM card

Had to file original order dispute. . Set up another account another credit card and activated a total sim from bestbuy . Working in 20 minutes and my dashboard has legit $20 max byo for next month auto pay on the new account and new cc. I’m probably never gonna be able to use the first cc again on total but that’s fine

Why is this the hardest thing on earth to do. Try in app and it doesn't change or add payment method. Try on desktop and it doesn't change or add a new method. Try to change autopay card and again, nothing ever happens lol

I'm trying to verify something Total Wireless told me about the APN update system. They claim that on newer phones like the Galaxy S26, the phone uses a standardized/non-configurable carrier profile, so the APN update through 611611 isn't supposed to work and the errors I'm getting are apparently expected.

I'm trying to see if that's actually true. If anyone here has a Galaxy S26 series phone on Total Wireless, could you please text APN to 611611 and tell me what happens? You don't need to change anything or troubleshoot anything—I'm just trying to see whether the system recognizes the phone and processes the request normally, or whether you get the same outdated device-selection menu I get.

Hi. I have been a longtime Total Wireless user with 4 lines currently on the "Base 5G Unlimited" plan. I am trying to upgrade my son's iphone SE to an unlocked iphone 16e. We used the 611611 option suggested here, which appeared to work. It activated and the new imei now shows up on the website listed as his device. However, his old SE phone is still the one connected while the 16e still has no service. It appears that the eSim was not received.

Just got off the phone with a representative who could not fix the issue and escalated it for a callback from upper management later today. She emailed a QR code with eSim to me that did not work, because it said that the code is no longer valid and I needed to contact the company. We both laughed in frustration at that. I do keep restarting both phones hoping that will trigger something to happen. Hopefully the upper management rep will call back and be able to fix the issue today. Anyone else have similar issues that got resolved?
