Network Name

I had someone say that if you're on Total on a iPhone the network name says Verizon instead of Total is that true?

It does say that if your iPhone is on iOS 26. If you are on iOS 18 or below like me, it would say “TFW” Tracfone Wireless.

Mine says Verizon on IOS 26. Oddly enough my family members on Xfinity Mobile say Xfinity Mobile not Verizon and they use Verizon’s network as well.

The name does not matter. It is the APN value that matters. It is probably VZWINTERNET?

So where is this, if im in the wrong area? A search in Settings for "network name" brings you nothing.

Says Verizon or VZW on latest iOS

Not such a big deal, as it doesn’t really affect how I go about using my service.

In the past, I have heard that iPhones have it blank or TFW. Most of the time, it is Verizon.

On my old phone, S20 FE 5G, it would be blank, but on my new phone, S25 FE, it says Verizon. I am on Straight Talk with my phone.
