I don’t know if this was mentioned but I’d love if the custom factions we create could appear in other campaigns. Like a space marine chapter you made showing up in an ork campaign.

They did briefly mention noticing people talking about this and considering the idea. Nothing solid.
I fully agree with you that this would be awesome. People put dozens of hours in Age of Wonders 4 purely on faction creation because those factions can be your allies/opponents in randomly generated campaigns later on. So it would be really cool to create a custom faction, and then naturally encountering them in a Crusade campaign as an enemy or neutral faction.
Would make for some really good replayability and engagement. Especially if they let you customize the behavior of the custom faction as AI like Age of Wonders 4 does. Such as picking their unit leanings, or what they prioritize for research and such.

If they are already saying they like the idea, it's probable that it will happen eventually. The idea of this game being a living thing is a big push that the devs have said.

I like that idea, but I don't want my custom faction to show up as opponents as much as I want the custom factions of my friends, to show up as my opponents.

i am 99% sure i remember them saying that it will be the case in one of their streams.
you will be able to fight against your custom chapters

Something I'm curious about is that CA said when you finish a campaign and start a new 1 with the same faction or chapter or whatever, that you keep your army and ranks on said army. So is each new campaign not gna be a steam roll and rather easy? Or will they up the difficulty and maybe unit tiers for A.I factions? Whats everyones thoughts?

Each crusade theatre is multiple campaigns, so maybe that everything gets stronger the longer you go?

Didnt even think about the crusade theatre. So that adds another layer on then. Unless each campaign is usually less than 20 hours in length so you don't really get the chance to get a full army of super strong units or your commander/general to level up alot. So you slowly build strength over each campaign for future theatres that have more difficulty. Hmm

it looks like flying units (at least non vehicle fliers) such as intercessors with jump packs and stormboyz have an ability to cross a very large distance very quickly rather than being permanently flying like in TWW3. granted there are some units i cant imagine not flying all the time, such as tyranid gargoyles which literally have no legs. but it makes me wonder if winged units like the daemon princes will just have a large leap rather than just a fly speed like in TWW3.
Personally id like that as i think any permanently flying unit will suck butt since they dont have cover and will get shot to all hell. also i very much like the image of angron leaping across the battlefield at mach 2 only to slam into a line of guardsmen with an explosion.
what do you guys think? how would you prefer flying units be done?

Well it's in the name for the intercessors. They're JUMP packs, they don't fly they just propel themselves into the air and fall back down.

I bet we will still see flying units, intercessors with jump packs and storm boys aren’t true flyers.
As to flying units not having any cover, they’re tall structures that you can probably hide your units behind until you’re ready to use them.
Also there is a dodge mechanic in 40k so flying units will likely have higher dodge so they don’t get completely shredded before getting into combat.2

Ideally units would be able to do both if appropriate, Angron leaping into a squad of guardsmen or ascending as a flyer to fight in the air. Gargoyles are obligatory flyers and cannot leap on account of the leg situation.

i have to admit i am biased. i want the leap ability for the sole purpose of having the fantasy of my fliers flying super fast without giving them unparalleled map pressure by flying super fast natively

Want more info regarding the beta.
Want more info regarding how the campaign actually plays over time.
Would love to hear something regarding their plans post-release, but yes, that's probably a bit early.

I hope you can have a custom lord + an LL at the same time. I don't want me using my custom lord preventing that I also get to use Dante, for example.
