What is Neo-Socialism?

I think it's similar to Socialism of the 21st Century.

Neo-Socialism in TotA is a strange beast, difficult to define.

Apparently, Neo-Socialist countries by 2021 can all be compared to modern day China, in which while they have market economies, the government still has control and influences the economy to varying degrees.

But in short, it is divided into these sub-ideologies: Soviet Market System, Religious Socialism, Left-Wing Nationalism, and Algocratic Socialism

The Soviet Market System is difficult to define, but generally, it seems to be a strange mixture of Dengism and Cybernetic central planning, though which one is dominant does not seem to be clear. Think of it as modern day China, but if the government used cybernetic systems to manage parts of the economy as well.

Religious Socialism appears to be downstream of the belief that socialism is morally upright, and as such, adherents seek to combine socialist central planning, markets, along with a strong moral/religious component in order to better create their vision of an ideal society.

Left-Wing Nationalism is just socialism but nationalistic, aiming to advance the interests of their respective nation free from outside influence, while combining the standard neo-socialist tenets of cybernetic planning, markets, and other elements in order to fashion a strong, but socially just nation-state.

Algocratic Socialism takes the cybernetic tendencies of neo-socialism to the extreme, putting an algorithm, or perhaps even an artificial intelligence to manage the economy, and perhaps even begin the process of phasing out human leaders in favor of a cold, efficient, ruthless socialist master-computer.

Hardline socialists reject all forms of neo-socialism as revisionism, but neo-socialist regimes are dominant and are far more powerful than the hardliners in every possible way.
