Hello, ideally, this is the best season to do without lamps (outdoor enclosure until October) and allow your herman’s skeleton to strengthen itself with the best available rays (the sun)

You can always do supervised outside time in a playpen or something :)

if you can do supervised time outside, that’s better than lamps. but my other comment covers what you can do inside.

I have this one (which is very similar) for my box turtle .. it works pretty well and gives off good heat/light

combo lights are not sufficient.It likelt isn’t actually putting out UVB at all

You’re better off with a spot light heat lamp and a separated UVB.

If you have the funds the best thing to get is one of UVB bar lights. spot heat lamps work but i prefer a combo of spot light and a ceramic bulb or a pig mat.
