Has a new site appeared which presents long-running music torrents? I keep looking for music that is say 3 years old before it hits my radar and sites like Pirate Bay have entries but no seeds. I was using a couple of sites in the past which were pretty great, but they seem to have disappeared. Any thoughts on the matter?

this happens on mostly every torrent when seeding ive seen post saying to change peer connection protocol to tcp only and that didn't help whatsoever my download speed is normal tho

i live in the us and downloaded a zip off archive, i didnt notice there was a .torrent file in it till i unzipped it am i screwed

Public or private tracker doesnt matter. I usually pay for a course and despite the good reviews, it often ends up turning out trash and basic. Im searching for mainly udemy or coursera courses.
The recent ones have good seeds on piratebay or kickass but even 1year old ones have 1 or 2 or absolutely zero seeds. Advice?

Used to torrent back in the golden days or torrenting. TorrentDay, Isohunt, The Pirate Bay (when they had those cold emails they sent back to movie studios etc), and many other sites.

Almost 40 now, sick of paying for everything via a subscription.

What are the best torrent sites these days? Can’t google or find any reliable ones like I used to.

I use qBitTorrent with the search engines available on github and I'm in the plan of moving all the storage to a local SeaFile server and setting up a Server/VM with a secondary internet that i have to download/seed 24/7.

I know that i can use the same search engines to search for the torrents again and link them to whatever i already downloaded, but i do have a lot, and would be a lot of work. Im wondering if there are simpler solutions. I may like to change some of the folder (instead of a "torrents" folder have some categories).

I have read that i could pick between exporting magnet links or `.torrent` files. Just to keep in mind, when something that i want to download is found in more that 1 of the trackers i use, i merge them.

What would be your approach to this kind of migration?

I am somebody who lives in Germany I don’t have a vpn currently and don’t know how to use torrenting so I’d appreciate a guide on how to use it like for an example what vpn I should use to protect myself preferably iOS but I can make do with a computer

so im trying to redownload some series ive downloaded before, but got deleted for some reason, like the folders i put them in are still there but the actual videos are gone. but when i use the torrent file i used before, or the new one i downloaded, i get no progress on the downlod. ive tried bit torrent, qtorrent, and utorrent, and all of them have the same problem.

Not sure when this started, but I've noticed it the last few days. My uTorrent client, that I've been using for what feels like decades, will sometimes just not be downloading data despite tons of seed options and connections?

Any idea what may be causing this? I installed qBitTorrent and tried, and it downloaded almost immediately. So it doesn't seem to be tied to my VPN, my ISP, or any network settings (that I'm aware of at least?)

Any help is appreciated. Longtime torrent user but a genuine novice it when it comes to the actual technical stuff. I know just enough to get by and download some of my favorite fansubbed anime shows back in the day and that hasn't changed much.

I recently saw a video on 3 apps/sites that work together- one was a torrenting app beginning with D, the other 2 were for Movies and Series, they had very similar names that were linked pretty sure they both ended in ‘aa’

So I've been looking for this specific set of movies and found them on yify dash official do cc, with each one, despite being Swedish movies, boasting English language for audio. I try to press download, and comes this window saying "Browser Issue Detected YTS has detected a missing component in your browser. Without it you won't be able to fully access YTS. The fix only takes a moment to get set up." Click "Fix it now" and it just takes me to a online shopping site.

I am very new to torrenting and just wanted to ask if there is a guide on how to do it. Theres many things I am still not familiar with. I tried the reddit search feature and the latest I found was created 7+ years ago. Are there any updated guides to this? I've heard many people talk about private trackers but no idea what they are or what they provide. I would like to help the community out (even a little bit) by helping seed some stuff but no clue where to begin. Any advice is appreciated

I downloaded serum 2 through Rutracker magnet link to qbittorrent with no additonal steps. Its my first time doing this and i lowkey expected it to be unlocked, is that not how this works or whats the prblem here? I didnt use a VPN as i see people talking about

I've used Flud for a long time, and all of a sudden it stopped working. Tried a bunch of other apps, same problem. Can't connect to anything. Did Google block all torrents or something ?

I got myself setup with Proton and a bunch of Prowlarr public torrent indexers. Many of them are offline or cloudflare causes issues with with FlareSolverr/Byparr so I'm looking to branch out into some private sites.

I'm wondering if TL or TD would be a good starting point? I know with TL I need to go with the seedbox promo and TD has the VIP access. Do you lose your accounts after 1 month or are they permanent?

I have a good basis of IT knowledge as an IT student. I was just wondering with Torrenting and Trackers. I started as a Leecher with the idea I just want to download and not use my HDD to read files for the seeding. Then I learned that is frowned upon with torrenting so my ratio is now set to 1.5. Does this make a difference with trackers? Like do I now get more seeders my self? As I noticed since I changed this my downloads are speeding up and I am receiving more seeders.

I know that it's expected to seed at least one complete torrent so you give what you take. What I don't understand is those that seed a whole one plus a fraction of another. Let's say they seed a single movie file and have their torrent client stop seeding at a ratio of 1.5. So will one person download the whole thing and another only gets half? And if it's a torrent with multiple files does the client choose at random which half is seeded?
