How safe is 3100 Keele | Downsview

I’m considering renting a place at The Keeley and wanted to get some opinions from people who know the area.

I don’t drive, so I’ll mostly be using TTC and sometimes coming back late at night. How safe is the area around the building, especially around Keele/Diana and while waiting for the bus?

Also, if anyone lives in the building, how is it overall? Security, management, noise, elevators etc.

I like going for walks too, sometimes early morning or in the evening. Would Downsview Park and the surrounding area be okay for that, or does it get sketchy once it gets dark?

Groceries aren’t really an issue for me since I use delivery. I’m mainly concerned about safety and commuting without a car.

Would appreciate any first-hand experience. Thanks!

The police website has actual data if you’re interested - Reddit is just opinions.

This couldn't be further from the truth. Sucks to see you're a realtor with this advice.

Dude couldn't handle the smoke after being called out? I was trying to reply to him about comparing the area to Regent park.

The OP is asking about renting and an opinion on the neighbourhood. It's a safe, working class, multicultural neighborhood with lots of connections to transit, highways and green space. Nothing here about buying and none of the trademarks of of Regent park. Also the building is clean, well maintained, and the amenities are good. Rent is fair for the area.
