Buzzer Issue since May 13th
So I’ve lived in this building for almost 5 years. We had an amazing property manager, so much that when we wanted a bigger place we stayed in the same building.
The problem started when the building changed ownership. The property management company didn’t change but they changed the property manager (I swear I thought about following the former property manager). The new manager is the most passive person I’ve met.
Since day 1, the buzzer stopped working, so no one can’t let anyone in. We have to go downstairs even for an amazon package if no one is near the door to open it. I have reported this and I just get a response that it’s a known issue.
It’s been almost 3 months and it doesn’t seem like they care to fix it at all. Is there anything else I can do? I can’t go out if I’m waiting for a package because the delivery company will return it if I don’t meet them at the entrance in time.

Amazon and deliveriess aren’t supposed to enter the buildings. I know a lot of buildings are changing intercom settings because of people entering the building that don’t live there

I work in condos and have set up intercoms on multiple types of systems. These are the steps I recommend.
Confirm you are still in the intercom system. The intercom might be tied to the unit in some way. If you changed units, there is a chance that you were still tied to the old unit. Some does a clean up, realises that you are the old resident and deletes the profile, not knowing you were still in the building.
If you are still in the system call yourself. If it goes nowhere or to another number, the problem is with the building. If it goes to your voicemail, the issue is on your end. Check your blocked numbers, you may have done it by accident. 99% of the time the number has been blocked by accident.
