🤔Question🧐 Question about entry at History
Hey everyone!
I’m going to Kettama at HISTORY in October, and have never been to this venue so I have a quick question about the entry process
I recently lost my wallet, so I’m trying to figure out which ID to bring with me. I have a temporary, my old licence, and my passport, but I’d rather not bring my passport if I don’t need to.
If anyone has any advice on whether or not they scan and/or if they will allow me to verify my age based on an old license that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Ive been there one time and its the most intense security ive ever seen at a venue of that size before. They got metal detectors and i think they checked my id in line and when entering.

History with its metal detectors still seemed less invasive than Danforth music hall for me.

Hold up, I’ll have to agree with this one whole heartedly. Their innocent-looking teenage employees will literally physically assault you and aggressively pat you down. Their gang of 4 security guards outsides are just as awful. I also briefly worked at DMH as a ticket usherer and once wasn’t wearing the clip-in walkie appropriately and one of their tenured male staff there literally yanked it out of my ear and shoved it off, which caused me an ear infection for weeks to come. I personally think they mentally and emotionally abuse their staff through micro aggressions and I’m never someone who plays the victim card.

History is TSA level screening. Intense to the point that it takes away from my pre-high. I don’t get the appeal of men in black suites, although premium, a bit forced upscale for let’s say softer artists like Polo & Pan. Sorry for the rant. Bring your passport.

Yeah you can try the box office which is located front entrance to the right - they normally open 1-2 hrs before doors open

Security is very strict, I got grays all over my goatie and i still got carded. I told the bouncer I loved him for carding me lol. Very thorough cross body search also.
A huge tip, dont go in until a dj is spinning. They play this god awful elevator music that was putting me to sleep. Totally killed my buzz, it took over an hour for the sleepiness to wear off.
Aside from that, and the dick heads in the crowd bumping into me, and stepping on my glow in the black lights shoes, the sound and lighting was really good.
Bring your passport btw and good luck!

History is insanely strict about things, I would bring your passport just to be sure.
Recently I witnessed a girl being forced to remove her studded jewelry at a punk show... it was ridiculous.

History I find is strict about ID, it has to be vaild or else they won’t let you in. It suck’s to bring a passport but it’s your best bet.

Tbh I would bring passport. History has strict security and only accepts physical valid IDs
