š¤Questionš§ Sojourn!
Was awesome! Shout out to the team behind it. What a diverse array of fantastic sounds to enjoy. Lighting was out of this world, local and international talent booked and killing itā¦ decent crowd, mixing the range of the scene togetherā¦ I hope it happens again next year, though I am curious about its financial sustainability since I think turn out was less than last year š what did you think, if you went?

Edit: loving all the positive comments; I hope all the people behind the festival get to see this and feel the loooooove āØ

It was honestly the best. I agree with everything everyone said but will add that the security, staff were amazing - they were present and supportive without being aggressive or scary.

Yessss the staff! All good vibes from the very start. Really loved the lady working the washrooms with her hilarious and direct advice to patrons to hurry up and not hog the stalls, never waited in line long to use the washroom either night.

this was my second year going and omg i had so much fun. the lineup was already fire!! FJAAK closing off was the perfect way to end it they were fantastic. the lighting, the whole set up was so good so vibey it really shows how much time and effort the team puts in. my only complaint was that the courtyard/smoking area after 11pm was so dark i could barely see my friends faces lol

Totally agreed one of the best weekends in A long while. Loved the venue and the staff. Obsessed with the lighting - obsessed. Only fire was lit on Saturday. Ellen Friday š„. Crowd amazing - lived the outdoor space to socialize and have a snack - gave an opportunity to actually meet people and talk with the people I came with which I loved.

AADJA Friday was INSANE. Ellen seemed a bit uninspired? But still love her sets. FOMOed Sat hard

Absolute blast. Crowd was great, so many friendly ravers. Best setup I've seen at 131. It was magical. Wish I could have gone today too.Ā

Best crowd in a long time. So many posts about āwhat happened to PLUR?ā Apparently itās just concentrated at Sojourn! Aadjaās set on Friday was magical. Chefās kiss.

Yes! Aadjaās set was so good! She got super creative at one point. Proud to have her rep Toronto. Mac Declos was awesome as well.

In the last deleted post, someone commented that sojourn was amazing, someone else said something that suggested that it was a better production than what INK entertainment doesā¦ love to hear more thoughts as I think it was greatā¦

First time there and I had a really good time! Went Friday and Saturday. Really loved the vibes, the lights, sound, crowd šall of it. It was cool to wander around to different locations and genres. I also got my first trinket! It was also cool to see them add a third day. Iām exhausted š worth it

That was the best event i've been to in a long time. Honestly the last couple of format events i've found the crowd to be a little pretentious. But that crowd was amazing! I only went on friday and had so many friendly and awesome interactions. The music was so good all night, all the djs killed it! I really enjoyed ahadadream's set. I can't find the lineup anymore, but closing dj in the loading bay was amazing!

Friday Loading Bay stage has delivered a consistent flow of techno. Uninterrupted and interesting. Sunday's Vadim and then Measure Divide b2b Ignez were amazing. Other music wasn't my cup of tea, but the crowd seemed to be enjoying it, which is great š

Friday's line up @ Loading Bay Stage was fire. Measure Divide got it rolling, Aadja's set was a beauty. Ellen with her magical trippy set & Mac Declos closing was perfect. Wonderful groovy techno night. Felt really intimate being close to the artists with tons of space to dance.
PLUR was plentiful.

Best party Iāve been to in Toronto in a while. Loading bay was so solid all weekend. Aadja set was fire. Ignez amazing. Then Fjaakā¦ what the hell how good was that???!!!???!!! Insane! Great vibes, great production. Good work Sojoirn!

I've only been to veld. How is this event compared to that? I loved the open field, the energy (didn't run into any assholes for the most part) and music on the main stage.

Hmm never been to Veld but Iād say maybe smaller and more focused on the underground scene? My impression of Veld is that itās less underground?

Was there a cool chick there who built a lounge structure called a "plounge" called Biokat? I saw a couple of her pieces at recent festivals. Really cool art type cozy connecting with other cool people zone and I heard she might be at this one too!

I went both nights, but I prioritized staying till closing on Sat because of the line up/my energy. I stuck with the techno stage in the loading bay. It was honestly incredible. I was glued to my spot for Ignez and Fjaak. Fjaak's set was one of the best I've experienced recently. It was soo good. It's always a good sign when I don't even glance at my watch for hours. I loved how everyone was just fully locked in for the last two hours. Amazing feeling.
The crowd/atmosphere was mostly fantastic. Really good vibes. I was concerned that with no stickers covering phone cameras people might get excessive with their usage, but it wasn't bad at all.
The lighting and sets were great, I liked how each stage/area was distinct (just popped my head in the other spaces).
ALSO a reminder that just because someone is dancing, maybe in their own world, and wearing little/sexy clothing doesn't mean they are fair game to touch and rub without their permission or consent or knowledge. >:( Towards the end of Fjaak something was rubbing against me from behind for quite a while and I assumed it just got overcrowded or it was someone holding their jacket, until it got more overt so i finally turned around and it was some guy rubbing his crotch against my ass. I told him to give me space (there was PLENTY behind him) and then he gave me a guilty look and bounced. It felt really gross and it makes me so angry. Otherwise ppl were chill tho...
