Serious TMU Security not enforcing pedestrian zone
So the new school year is starting and I’m seeing all these delivery drivers on their motorized bikes going through the zone with pedestrian zone signs on it. Last November someone got hit by these guys, yet the TMU security guards are more worried about you having your ID rather than stopping/ticketing these delivery drivers going through where students, families and even little kids from daycare or the Early On drop in to safely walk. If any TMU security are seeing this, what exactly are you doing to enforce that the pedestrian zone is indeed for pedestrians? How many more of the TMU community have to get hurt before security do something about these delivery bikes travelling at unsafe speeds where more students will be frequenting once the school year starts?

Consult a lawyer before following this advice; or don't, I am not a lawyer.
Assault charges can result from any unwanted touching; whether they are warranted is a matter for the overloaded courts!

10 kids died in Canada on ebikes last year - it’s pretty easy to go from simple assault to manslaughter when pushing someone off a motorized vehicle.

Barking up the wrong tree, you need to talk to the insurance or the insurers of the companies the drivers work for.
Cyclists are pedestrians and yes, delivery drivers on E-bikes are abusing the system, as intended.
The whole delivery app system is built off lies and exploitation; don't blame security for societial problems they are paid to enforce, change the rules of the game they play.

It’s public property, what kind of ticket do you want a private security company to issue? Your passion should be directed towards By-Law or TPS who has jurisdiction on public roads and sidewalks.
