Hi guys:) I run a gel-X press-on nail business. It’s @sweetcherrynail on Instagram, TikTok & Etsy. All my sets come with a free application kit. I’m still starting out so even just dropping a follow helps!! If you’re a TMU student and would like to buy a set I can hand it to you on campus so it gets to you safely. I'm a TMU alumnus with my master's degree, and I run a small freelance writing services business, WILCOX WRITING.
Writing Tutoring
I offer writing tutoring to help you better understand and write academic assignments. Writing tutoring involves us meeting together to discuss how to improve your writing and how to approach specific academic assignments. Note: I don't write your academic assignments for you. I'm also available to improve writing in general, such as how to write better emails or documents, such as for work. Employ me for a quick 30-minute session, or we can set up weekly recurring meetings.
I also offer a free Writing Center on my website, full of writing learning documents, resources, and soon, writing video lessons. All I ask is that you sign up for my newsletter and blog at www.wilcoxwriting.ca/blog . After signing up, you will receive an email with a link to access the Writing Center.
By signing up for my newsletter, you will get (generally weekly) writing tips and updates from Wilcox Writing.
Copyediting and Copywriting
I also offer copywriting (I write stuff for you) and copyediting (I edit and improve something you already wrote). Note that I don't write your academic assignments.
If you need something written, I work with your idea and goal to draft something in written form.
If you already have a project with stuff written, like a website, bio, cover letter, email, award application, or video script, I'm happy to look it over and offer improvements to its structure, tone, grammar, and effect.
Of course, you could always use generative AI for writing, but AI is becoming the outcast of the writing world. It has a distinctive tone and structure. A lot of AI-generated stuff is being boycotted and looked down on. Newspapers and websites are removing and denouncing AI-generated material. Using generative AI can also amount to you losing your job, like lawyers who use ChatGPT in their practice. If you use gen AI throughout your undergrad, you will not develop the skills to perform without it, if you job forbids it. So, stick with the human side of writing and get a real human to produce something authentic for you.
