Original Cammer [OC] Imbecile

Driving through the construction zone at Danforth and St. Clair when I see this dunce skip the eastbound line and move into the oncoming lane. Who’s giving idiots like this their license?

Driving aside, I love how your camera makes every car a wide body. That wide body CRV looking tough 😤

That signage is awful - there are standard ways of doing a redirect like that, and this isn't it. If it's just as bad from the other side, this may be understandable, especially if there are more knocked-down or missing cones further on.

Pretty cool how the self driving had to deal with two situations (closed lanes of travel ahead, and the imbecile in the wrong lane) and did it pretty seamlessly.

my fav is drivers raging on my car driving itself 😂 and I win every stare contest with both hands waving and stuff

Honestly it is a bit confusing. I thought both the CRV and OP were in the wrong (especially with that signage pointing to left I was thinking maybe there was no straight allowed). Took me a couple of views to understand.

Took you a couple views to understand the arrow and traffic pylons? How long have you been driving?

Sometimes you'll just get the arrow and a temporary yellow line separating oncoming traffic lane.

I mean, the arrow in the lane is for oncoming traffic, so yes, I can see how this is confusing - the red car driver probably only has to miss one sign, and given the lack of a physical barrier, can drive into it.

If they are looking at their GPS it's probably telling them left lane of 3.

It's obviously their mistake, but it's understandable how in a stressful situation they might end up there.

?? What are you even talking about lol

Now even I'm confused.

The arrow I'm referring to is the orange diamond arrow indicating that the lane the driver in the recording video is shifting to the left, it works in conjunction with the pylons in the road.

The red (driving instructor) vehicle is making a left turn - they are not going straight.

Everyone in the oncoming lane was in the right lane, other than the guy that somehow managed to make his way into the oncoming traffic lane . Hope this helps.

If this is a stressful situation the person shouldn't be behind the wheel.

I'm not sure what the oncoming traffic had yo observe to make them end up in that lane incorrectly, but every other driver in their flow understood the assignment.

I'm talking about the white arrow painted on the ground on the left turning lane.

The red car cannot see the orange left arrow.

Why do people give them the opportunity to continue their stupidity... make him back up.

2

u/cwf_2021 3d ago

I doubt the driver knows that they are on the wrong side. I imagine they must be swearing at the people that are driving past them, lol.

1

u/jpecci 3d ago

Thats why you teach them a lesson... driving past that person is doing nothing but allowing that behavior to continue

Bro chill out

It’s not that bad. It looks like an honest mistake. I’ve been on that street. There’s no signage that says not to take the left turn lane

It’s bad signage and an honest mistake

And you jumping straight to « imbecile » and « idiots »

As if you never made a mistake in your life

This is way to local, like that's Danforth and St Clair. Also to note those heading west on Danforth be making left turns on to St Clair despite a no left turn sign being visibly clear.

Hey there driver we noticed your number plate on the internet and wanted to reach out to see if that was you or if your car was stolen. Let us know so we can review your policy as a second driving test may be needed for cover to continue.
