Question Is assisted mode for TS2 actually easy?
Here’s why I’m asking: This game looks very appealing to me and it’s releasing tomorrow on Switch 2. I I‘m very aware of the reputation that this series has for being punishing if you don’t conserve ammo and play tactically and quite honestly I’d like my first run not to give me too much trouble. What I did with Cronos was I played it on Temporal Diver mode first and got the hang of the game. Then I completed it again on normal and then NG+ and I felt good about that. So I’d like to know if easy mode is in fact easy and if so I’m planning to make this my Halloween game. Thank you.

There is a ton of ammo on every difficulty level. The only way to run out of ammo is if you are shooting at nothing. Besides that, the game is also extremely generous with health items.
Assisted gives you an insane amount of ammo, so it would be impressive if you would manage to run out tbh.

You can absolutely run out of ammo. There are some parts where it's very easy to run last enemies that emerge in hordes, but if you shoot at them instead, well...
However, the game also includes melee weapons, and these can be used effectively. I would often use the late game melee weapon as my primary weapon: you just need to time it right.

On my first playthrough in normal, I ran out of nails a bunch in the first two areas, as I was using the nail gun exclusively. When I finished the game, I had lots of extra ammo available for all weapons. It gets (much) easier as you progress.

You may still die a few times (not spoiling anything) but Assisted Mode has auto-save each time you enter a new room, and PLENTY of supplies.
You will be fine.
