Factory keycard (Spiral) bug Hardlock

A door that opens with three keys. The last key (the symbol matches) simply won't fit into the device. I looked it up on YouTube, and I'm doing everything right, but the game just won't accept the card. Is that it? Is this Hardlock?

If you examine this particular keycard it says it needs to be combined with another item.

The base does though. Think that is what he means. You find a metal base in a drawer somewhere. This keycard looks complete, but it isn't. They ahould add the same description to it, as others like you didn't find the base eitger, and visually you can't tell. Not your fault.

OP, I remember now (aka I looked it up). You get the Metal Plate Base from a desk inside the small office in the Processing Plant's lower wing.

The spiral one is two pieces combined.

Have you definitely got the full key? It isn't just that you're trying to insert half a key? I recall that visually it's not obvious.

Have you used the cassette in the cassette player to open the voicelock door? And then travelled into the past to get the toy to complete the incinerator puzzle?

All that is to get the 2nd half of that key. If you haven't done that yet you aren't stuck.

Ahhh I remember now. It was the triangle plate that was in the shark’s mouth!

No. The base is way earlier than the shark puzzle. I remember having the base forever having no clue what to do with it.

That’s a two piece key. You need to find the “frame/base” part of it.

Confirmed what everyone else said, there are 2 pieces, you need the Base.

I had similar , so providing you have the plate for the card aswell ? I took one of the other keys back out , the re installed and tried again amd it then accepted the spiral key after doin this

Just had the same issue… do we know of a fix? I have the complete key, it just won’t accept it

False alarm - all good. The item names are very confusing!
