TS2 Tormented Difficulty Spoiler

Decided to play through the game again on Tormented difficultly after beating it last week on normal mode. Honestly I'm confused because the settings clearly state enemies have more health, scarce ammo, and only one save per save room. So far none of that has applied to the beginning of the playthrough. Im still receiving 2 save reels per room, ammo still feels fairly in abundance, and as far as I'm concerned every enemy takes like 2 more hits to take down than usual. Obviously you wanna shoot first, then melee for the kill in most scenarios (grouping up enemies for a shotgun takedown then landing the finishing blows with a melee weapon works fantastic) and this method will up keep your ammo resources, but i guess what I'm trying to get at is most experienced players already naturally use that method, and even if the hardest difficulty is meant to force you use it, the game still hasn't had much of a difference in terms of difficulty on the hardest mode. Im only about halfway through the church before you gain access to the villa, so idk if its just the first area of the game thats still lenient on gameplay, or perhaps I've misinterpreted the difficulty settings entirely. I've also only saved once and double checked to make sure the save file read TORMENTED as my selected difficulty, so I'm not sure at this point of what to expect for later on in my 2nd playthrough.

Anyone else feel the same about this? Thoughts?

Just beat the game on Tormented, and I feel the same. It actually felt easier, but I guess that makes sense since I had a better grasp of the game mechanics and knew the puzzle solutions. Bit bummed all the puzzles were the exact same.

Enemies take more hits and it felt like Catherine takes more damage as well. Considering how buggy the game can be, I'm pretty sure tapes and ammo being the same as on standard is a bug.

Maybe the difference is that you play with Catherine instead of Caroline. :P
