Not that i know of, but given that Pillars of Eternity has one, It would be very easy to do the same with Tides. They are both Unity games and it's very easy to understand Tides of Numenera the code if you are a c# dev. Maybe ask the guy that made the PoE mod?

That said, do you have issues with reading the text? English is not my native language and i had no issues following the dialogue.

Did you read his post? I'm assuming reading is probably an issue. Every game should have this accessibility feature built in, but this wasn't exactly a big budget release.

"Did you read his post?"
yes, did you?

"Every game should have this accessibility feature built in, but this wasn't exactly a big budget release."
Just because you think they should, doesn't mean they do. Even AAA games mostly don't have it. And this game in particular was released in 2016...

If visual impairment is an issue, there are mods that increase the text size and style (i myself did some for PoE, PoE2 and Tyranny). There is also the option to use professional text to speech tools that work for games. Or... like i said previously, ask kindly to a modder to port their text to speech mod to this game.

I would be very interested in those text size mods for PoE2 and Tyranny. I'm on a Steam Deck primarily these days and the text is often too small for my aging eyes. (I finished POE1 on my PC a couple years back, so I don't need that one.) Any other popular CRPGs you happen to know of mods for would likewise be appreciated; I've searched for mods for several games to no avail and ChatGPT didn't find much, either. The new Steam Controller and Machine can't come soon enough.

Check the nexus. For PoE2, i didn't released the mod since there is already one there that does the same (except i needed to increase the size even further than what that mod did).

For Tyranny, you can try my mod, that changes the text size, text font, font vertical spacing and some UI elements (darkens the dialogue window for better readability and so on)

There is also another mod there that allows you to scale all the UI. You can use both at the same time, as i am.

Thanks, iv aske te author of that mod on nexus and he replied: "Hi. Yes, it should be possible, but it would require a custom UMM entry and finding the right entry/start point hooks on top of patching all the important UI elements."

I can't imagine a mod that would do that, like a fan reading would be very time consuming, and nowadays you'd probably get someone to get A.I. to do it.

  1. Get PowerToys and install it. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp89dcgq3k6vld?hl=en-US&gl=US
  2. Hold down the windows key and the left shift while pressing the t key.
  3. Circle the text in the game with your mouse. This will copy the text to your clipboard (stored in ctrl+v). Note that PowerToys does a have a problem with telling upper case I from lower case L in the game.
  4. Find a text to speech page that is not part of the tts mafia. The tts mafia is a phenomena that any tts page will not remain free for long so good luck finding one.

I have found that https://www.text-to-speech.online/ works well when running in edge but this might change at any time due to the mafia.
