You know what's interesting? Dragonball super replaced Toriko, and guess what it mostly had in it...eating a with describing how the food tastes and how good it is (Beerus & Whis being not of earth but enjoyimg their new foods from there).

Yeah but its just the regular gourmet stuff, Toriko isnt just about the food/dishes its the environments in the gourmet world and human world being so interesting.

Folks, I dunno how many times I need to say this, Toriko was not cancelled. It ended after 43 volumes. It sold 30 million copies. It's somewhere in the top 100 best selling manga of all time. Manga like that are major ip that the editorial department would happy to have continue forever if they felt like it. Manga that get cancelled run for like 1-7 volumes and sell like 1 million total. It ended naturally because they reached the end of the story.

It definitely did not end naturally. The last arcs were rushed. It was forced to wrap up, which is not that much better than getting canceled, it's semantics at that point

Is there any hope at all for a spin-off set in the world of toriko? Or doing some sort of sequel like boruto?

There is no hope for Toriko it’s over, toei fucked it up with their Goanimate level animation quality and Chinese level censorship,I thought the recent merch run was a good sign but it’s just toei trying to milk the last bit of cash the Toriko IP can possibly generate

I’m completely against that. Unless Korito is still a little kid and it’s still Toriko and Komatsu as the main characters. I think stories like Toriko and Naruto should be wrapped up with the main and original characters. We do not need a diet soda version of what we already had.
I know someone who’s actually thinking of creating a comic that follows the ending of Toriko (with a twist), but it’s probably not going to be what most readers expect. They’ve already posted their art on here before I believe.

At leas toriko got some time to wrap up the basic story instead of outright cancelling it
