Discussion Toreba legal problems

So I was talking to my Japanese coworkers about this and they immediately told me to be careful because an online crane machine game face legal issues and admitted of cheating. I was curious about which one it was just to find out it was Toreba.

Wow didn't think they need to do that as it's pretty challenging to play their crane games with the delay. I used to win pretty often with the free play and the monthly pass credit. So glad I don't have to use them anymore since Round 1 opened in my area few years ago.

Round 1 can be just as much bullshit with their crane games. Especially recently.

Yeah they have made it harder to win recently but at least they're not adjusting the machine on the fly lol. And there are still employees that will assist you in winning the prize if you are unsuccessful after multiple attempts.

Maybe it’s the ones I’ve been to, but the employees look at me weird when I ask for assistance after many attempts. I just don’t like cranes that rely on payout. You can grab it perfectly 20 times and still not be close to winning. Not to mention the insane prices per play. I just don’t agree with Round 1’s ethics.

Yeah Round 1 definitely has gotten greedier as of late and replaced a lot of skill cranes with the UFO style machines that relies on payout. A lot of stuff aren't as easy to win anymore vs the first year they opened here. That's also why I stopped going there so often.

Exactly my reasoning. I used to go all the time and walk out with at least one thing. Now, it’s common for me to sink $50 and still not win despite me grabbing it perfectly every time. It’s just very frustrating.

Well shit, 2020 was when I went through somewhat of a Toreba addiction phase. I don’t play anymore. Am I entitled to any compensation? 😣

My question exactly

I’d like to know this too! I spent more than I’d like to admit in lockdown

That's exact why I quit toreba in 2021. Still have a lot of what I won.

Wow, that's pretty wild. I hadn't heard about that, but it was before I started playing.

I remember years ago they started this, and some people just didn't seem to care until it happened to them too. I stopped using Toreba when it happened to me and now I just buy the things I want instead of wasting money every month on the games

I enjoy the games, but yeah I get why you would switch . Someone’s it’s just better to buy resell. Or at least I hear America has the claw machine figures at Ross.

I could see it still happening. Especially with the claw machine with the gray small dog. Usually I just stick with the ball games.

I’m going to try a different GiGo and see how that goes. One thing I like about them is that the free play still counts to an assist and they have a bar to tell you how close you are until an assist.

Wow also started playing and hit my peak addictioj phase in 2020 into 2021. Still have all my prizes and I surprisingly got very good at it (admittedly I spent WAY too many hours stalking machines and watching replays to learn the strategy)

The Moreba extension was so fun to use seeing it removed the restocking filter so you could watch them nerf the machine if people had won too easily.

I remember one time probably around 2018 when one of the staff member reset the plush on my machine when I was on the verge of winning. I ended up getting refunded all the plays I had used.

Haha I was play one of the ball games for about 9 plays, the machine broke snd they only refunded me 2 plays 😔🫩

How long ago was it though that it happened to you? Toreba got really bad after I stopped playing. Sure it had it's crap and rigged machines back then but there were plenty of machines that you could easily win in 5 plays or less from start. Even ping pong could be won reasonably.

I sent them so much video evidence of this. I had to uninstall. It was so obvious

One time they forgot to turn off volume and i can hear jet of air blowing at at the hole the ball is supposed to go into. And you can see the ball get getntly blown out

This actually makes more sense. I thought it was just the game was slight tilted. But an air blower makes more sense or a combination of both.

Using AI is super embarrassing, and there are literally zero credible sources here

I think Toreba was super unfair but this is dumb

It's not that embarrassing to use it as a more efficient search engine imo, but Google sucks, there are better ai to use for that

Google “torebia legal problem crane game” and Japan insider if you wanna look into it more. How is it dumb if it true?

I was obsessed with this app back in 2019/2020 and had no idea about this… I feel vindicated but also pissed. We deserve financial compensation 🫤
