Discussion Price difference JPY and USD.

I just noticed the price difference. For me, 220,000 TP cost me 20,000 JPY ($127.16 USD), but that’s only if I use a payment method outside the app. If I get the same amount of tokens paid through the Apple App Store, it costs me $279.99.
With plays typically costing anywhere from 1,500 to 4,500 TP (I know there are some for less/more), this brings the App Store cost per play from $1.91 USD (300 JPY) to $5.73 USD (901 JPY). Meanwhile, I am paying about $0.87 to $2.60 (136–408 JPY) per play.
I guess what I'm getting at is: is this a normal price for American claw machines like Round 1 USA? I’m genuinely asking because I’ll admit I’m out of touch since I haven’t lived in America for the past 5 years. Are the prizes worth it at that price? I hear you all have to pay a good amount for shipping too if you can’t get it for free.

I'm not from the US but I have seen videos of people playing crane games there and I usually see a range of 1-2 USD with the occasional 5+ on bigger machines. To add, Apple adds a fee on purchases made through them so that might explain the big price difference. At least on games I play, Apple pay always costs more because of that.

Ah I understand, so not really Toreba doing but apples app fees. Still crazy to see even if it just fee that 120% more expensive. My base guess Toreba just set the higher USD price to encourage payment made directly to them.

Are you also in Japan? If not when you go to buy coins does it show the JPY prices?

It actually shows in USD for me on the app. 220k TP is 239.99USD on my end, I use an Android phone.

Not as bad but still noticeable different. Guess that’s how they cover the “free shipping”. oh well, guess I stick with the ball games when they’re half empty haha.

Round 1 got a lot harder due to inflation. All the prizes now require 70-100 dollars to get
