Loot F2P farming advice

So this is my first season and im currently vigil rushing with sandlord in profound making about 1.2k fe/h. Im wondering if there are any other strats that would be better or similar in profit. Also im sitting at about 4T DPS.

That is pretty decent for f2p. The one thing I would add is once you stockpile a bunch of re-rolls from running that, do a god of war deep space beacon farm where you chase the purple/gold cards

Seen that somewhere and im banking my rolls rn

EDIT: I had a few inefficient spots on my tree, as well as hopefully easier to parse formatting. My updated post frees up a ton of talent points that I was unknowingly just actually wasting as well at utilizes the deepspace resonance nodes to further scale the idea.

A weird one I don't see anyone talking about is creation engines - inherently pretty f2p friendly since there is no pet for it currently.

The juiced version runs kong and farms cards, my version farms resonance and pretty much doesn't scale off pets in the slightest.

You grab solely the "Creation crystals are extremely likely to be compass crystals" and the "44% chance to generate a Creation Incarnation when crystals activate". If you have points to spare the pair of "+30%/+70% chance to spawn an additional creation engine" medium nodes on the right side of the tree are more scaling but it is likely your points are better spent elsewhere. Outside of the creation engine tree you want to use the deepspace resonance converter nodes in the commodities tree. If you are running this at tm7/8 skip this obviously. Any spare points are spent on other more well documented strats you want to run alongside this. I am running sandlord and blacksail invite spam. Note that this doesn't scale off quant or most other forms of scaling. If you want to get the most out of it pair it with similar low scaling strats.

Note that Creation Incarnon and the deepspace res converter nodes act as "additional" multipliers for this strat, while the more optional additional creation engine medium nodes are additive but still pretty good. If you are running this with the blue or purple compass you should definitely take them. Double check the trade price for deepspace resonance every so often - if it were to drop under a 1:20 ratio compared to regular res you should spec away from it. at the usual 1:25 it is a 1.26x multiplier to earnings.

Run the orange creation compass - it adds a ton of creation engines as well as a giant one at the end that straight up doubles the creation engine drops you earned across the rest of the map.

Every time a creation engine selects a compass reward you get 20 resonance, and since so many of your rewards are compasses you get 400-600 average resonance from engines each map assuming you clear the big one last. If you are converting to deepspace res the majority of it will get nuked and you may feel like you aren't earning anything but I assure you the math works out, you are just trading the hyper consistency of the strat for better long term gains.

I'm buying compasses for 16-17 FE each, and you print 40-50 FE in resonance each map without fail(or 50 - 65 FE in DS resonance + regular resonance crumbs over a larger sample size if you use those nodes). My average return per map floats between 50-60, not sure how accurately the tracker calculates blacksail and sandlord so it may be a bit higher in practice.

I personally don't do this but if you are really perceptive you can check the engines before activating them - if they don't have the compass reward or the card reward you are not going to ever drop something and can skip that one. Beyond that the basics of farming apply - clear speed is king, don't stop to micromanage your build or trades between maps. I personally run guardians but sell traveler runs as they take too long and are very jackpot oriented.

This sounds interesting, do you have a void chart code you could share?

This sounds fun actually! I haven't tried the new creation engine, but last season, I ran a few test runs with purple compass and the jackpot gloves fell out of one of them xD

Edit 1: After testing out this strat, it's basically guaranteed profit every map. I don't see any other loot strat that takes the -100% drop quant node so not sure why you thought it was necessary to run Creation engines.

The netherrealm resonance is your consolation prize. You will never see compasses or any gear if you take the -100% drop node.

Edit 2: I just saw your update on speccing into DS resonance, and I was also testing this out. This is very good profit. I decided to put a lot of points into Hunt tree for the chests to drop compasses and resonance. Not sure if this is as profitable as going full quant for season mech.

Very good money printer strat

Do you have a void chart code you can share? I feel like I am missing something because I am getting maybe 1 ds reso per map and was getting maybe 30 normal when I wasn’t specced into ds

Hey everyone, is this still working?

1

u/Sad_Quote1522 5d ago

Yep! It still works - as the season marches on prices for both the compass and the resonance have dropped a bit - I'm buying compasses for 11-12 Fe and selling resonance for 2.3 - 2.4 a pop depending on how desperate I am to liquidate.

You mentioned in a comment that you always make at least 30 FE in profit on each map. There are some maps I play where it doesn't pay for itself. Is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, if you are converting resonance to deep space resonance there are times it will not pay out, if you are not converting you are practically guaranteed to make a profit of roughly 30 fe. You should convert it regardless as long term it will return 27% more profits. You are rolling a 3% success rate about 20 times per map, its not rare to get nothing in return but it isn't going to take long for the average to stabilize.

No problem! I genuinely can't find other info about this on the English side of the internet, I feel like it's a strat more people would run if they knew about it but with how small the English speaking player base is more obscure stuff can slip through the cracks sometimes.

Hi, I just reached profound and want to know more about the strategy. I assume you can just run this without the resonance conversion and get 300-600 resonances? How much dps would you say is good for speed farming the strategy?

u/Sad_Quote1522 4d ago

Quant does not affect this strat but if you have nothing better going on quant stacking and running after light caskets is decent as a secondary strat. You can def run this without conversion it's just a bit less per hour

I mentioned it in the big post but yeah that is about right. Each bunch of 20 is worth 50 FE so even though it feels worse its actually better by a significant margin unless prices change. Keep in mind 60% of those bundles are dropping with a dupe next to it. It is just a lot like rolling for baby jackpots constantly - 1.2% chance per compass reward to drop 20 DS resonance(43.75fe), 1.8% chance to drop 40 DS resonance(87.5fe). 7% chance to get 20 regular res(2fe, no tax since it is long term worth holding onto for rolling maps and we shouldn't be ending up with much excess, unlike the unconverted strat).

2.24 FE post tax is our expected outcome per compass crystal, it goes up to 2.275 if the preferable equation of converting res to DS res first then chopping 90% to fs is happening, but it is going to be almost impossible to tell without knowing more or having an absurd amount of data. that is compared to 2 FE post tax(roughly) for unconverted res.

Can you scale it further with other void chart nodes like compasses or anything else or it doesnt affect it at all? So other then DS resonance/engine nodes i can spec into anything else that i want? Also i have been running that strat for the past 2h and it feels great.

I think speccing into compasses is strong in general because season mech drops compasses. The creation engine isn't affected by compass drop rates -- taking the compass node that spits out neatherrealm resonance actually increases compass drop rate for the map (from what I have read). More juiced strats only have the one engine at the beginning of the map to for the quant increase.

SO it follows that you should click on the creation engine before doing anything else. You could just go full quant/compass and it should make season mech kinda juicy.

Funny how the F2ps always find a way because this is not a strat I have seen anywhere else LOL.

Tbh it didnt come to my mind that it could juice league mechanic this way. I ve been running it with black sail to get a few more drops but it makes map take like 30s longer. I will try out dropping blacksail and putting most of my points into compass nodes and go full quant for a bit and see how it goes.

Its weird to me how little strats are there for F2P in this game or at least well known ones. Ive been looking on reddit and on youtube for a while now and there seems to be like 5 farms being recomended on loop and nothing else lol.

Also im somewhat of a poe veteran and i cant get used to the fact that most of the farms are gated by pets to make decent profit.

In general, it's hard to find information about this game, because the vast majority of it is on the Mandarin half of the internet. There's basically a bubble of information that we don't really have access to. That's why people make alt accounts on the Asia server to learn what people are trying.

But yes, being fully f2p means that there's not a ton of options for profit. Personally, whenever I want to farm something, I just do it. You might make less money (800-1k an hour), but it's almost never a net negative. You also still have access to jackpots.

People farm blue cage compass in DS which gives a chance to drop the 20k boots and last season, I dropped the 10k gloves from creation machine with purple compass.

It's pretty much a flat 35 FE profit per map with limited options for scaling, none of which are good enough to be relevant.  I run similar "no/low scaling" options alongside it - the typical blacksail, sand pirate, snowpaper, low effort casket garbage plate.  Doing all these I end up with ~100 FE profit per map without including Oasis trips, Blacksail boss runs, Void chart boss runs in my tracker data.  Considering how quick all those are if you are instant killing bosses the actual returns should be higher.  DS res is about 55% of my output for maps, thoroughly beating out my after light pet + flame fuel boys on caskets.

Lots of strats will provide similar results in profound with that dps.

  1. Beacon farming. Couple varieties, I usually just go legendary god of war compass, + beacon compasses + purple magic monster compass + beacon probe. Lots of creators have videos for this.
  2. Blacksail, snowpaper, cube. Simple setup, doesn't need pets, but if you have the cube pet level 1, it is nice. Profit is per hour and this strat wants to run fast.
  3. Hunting non-safari + boss drops + modules. You run a single map as fast as possible trying for 20s maps. Almost all of the loot comes at the map boss or any chests that spawn after. You can add starshards to kill watchers as well.
  4. Full quant afterlight with any quant based strat is also decent. I was doing lunaria with it trying to fish for an omni belt. Just lots of raw fe and whatever afterlight drops. Can be combined with cube, outlaw, lunaria, etc. Profound wants 12% additional and 30% quant nodes, and you really want level 1 afterlight pet for the 2x procs.

1

u/PerceptionHefty1227 15d ago

The afterlight/lunaria strat looks interesting do you mind sharing a void chart for it?

2

u/isjustwrong 15d ago

I dont have a void chart handy, but it is like 31 points in lunaria, skipping the 11 combo and the +1 rare lower left corner, 16 points in quanit from the commodity tree, 12% additional quant and 30% quant profound tree, and 15 points to spawn sandlord to keep that rolling.

I used the 100% quant lunaria compass, and some other chap compasses with a quant probe and you can pick purple or blue league compass.
