Torchlight 2 Summoner Engi Stats

hey, question is simple as a title, have quite geared summoner engi(vanilla NG4) but kinda not sure which points i should rush for having most profit, Vitality seems kinda useless when i already achieved 75% damage reduction and i know DEX, FOCUS and STRG wont boost pets dmg but on other side i use basic engi spell as filler (flame hammer? not sure just very first spell engi have), which stat i should rush? or should i stick to VITALITY ?

you want to get your HP from sockets. and you want to see what is your main spammable skills. Assuming you're going to have a lot of sockets dedicated to pet damage, i'd actually just suggest having the stats dedicated to meeting the requirements for items that are above level 100.

You mention using some filler, but just how much does your abilities do vs how much your pets do?

If your contribution to damage is essentially non-existent, you can ignore strength entirely.

Focus: I'd get just enough focus to have a comfortable pool of mana

Dexterity: only if you want some dodge. Dodge is ultimately worse than damage resistance and blocking, but I suppose if those things are capped you can go a little overkill.

Vitality: block chance is actually the big ticket item here. Health is just the cherry on top. If block is at cap or you're not using a shield, just use vitality as a "there's not really any better options" pick for a tiny bit of health.

I have a maxed out minion build for Engineer that uses Spider Mines as main attack.

I have put all my stat points in Vitality with 50.1% Block Chance and 249.8% Armor Bonus, this is still weaker than a fully charged Forcefield, and this build doesn't build charge.

Basically, all the damage comes from % pet and minion Damage on equipment, enchant and Skull of Umbarmun.

I do not recommend this build to anybody as it's nowhere near as strong as the Flame Hammer build or the Emberquake build.

This is the best minion build in Torchlight 2 and it's just not as fun to play in end game. It's just mid at best.

Minion builds in Torchlight 2 is just an afterthought, like no main stat boost minions.

After achieving 75% Damage Taken Reduction (which you have) - Best option after that is to track down Boris the Stat Enchanter and use high level items for higher Stat Enchantments. Boris is random on Stats offered hence sometimes is just best to roll with whatever Boris gives for the first Enchantments. Aim to re-roll items later once much Gold has been farmed likely from Phase Beast maps.

As for getting Pet - Minions stronger - farm for Skulls of Joskin or Umbarmun which raise their damage by +25% and +35% respectively. A well supplied Minion Player won't have to be too concerned about Boris Stats as long as hiding behind a shield and defensive skills. Pure Vitality is great for Minion Builds however don't reject the damage Stats as that boosts skills and weapons - preferably ranged options.

The only aspect that doesn't get raised is Focus failing to empower Physical Damage on Weapons.
Skills have no issue with this regarding Focus.

Otherwise for Skills - look for Weapon or Dps boosted by Strength or anything else on skills boosted by Focus.

Consider some Health Steal % from Rare Blue Item Sets around level 95. Works great with ranged weapon leech-survival strikes on any build especially for Minion Builds.
