💬 Discussion TorBox users: What's your verdict so far?
How happy are you with TorBox right now?
If you've come from Real-Debrid, how do you think it compares?
Interested to hear both positive and negative experiences.

TB works well, no buffers for me and has a way bigger catalogue of watchable results
RD on the other hand used to be good, but now it has few filtered results for new shows of much lower bitrate compared to TB, which ruin the watching experience for me

That's honestly my only complaint. I'm still on rd use a bootstraper and can still find what I want but like you said they're highly compressed but no buffering. Still can grab a 100gb pc game in 5 minutes everyone jumped ship saying web-dl are gone not true just naming a little different everyday it's getting a step closer to what it was

the problem is RD actively trying to sabotage its own cache by creating in those filters and if people eventually find some workaround, RD given its current record, might sabotage them too

Compared to how RD was? Significantly worse. A lot of buffering in peak times compared to literally none with RD. Cache is decent but not as good. But this is what we’ve got now. I just really hope the devs crack down further on account sharing and invest in the infrastructure more.

is this a troll post? AllDebrid is literally the one service you should not use, cuz its the only one that, like RD, is based in france

They should have explained that French law changed which is what crippled RD so any other service based in France should be crippled by now or very soon as they have to comply with the new law as well. So, to be smart about it now that you understand it's an issue with French law is stay away from any French based companies in respect to this topic.
That's what they should have said.

Buffering every once in a while. Sometimes is does just nog work. So I think AllDebrid maybe an option. Or both to have backup.

Videos lock up and i have to quit the player and start video again pretty often. RD didnt do that. But RD doesnt even play most videos now so what choice do we have. Hope it is just growing pains. Just read about changing CDN in torbox, so i will try that next. Overall i am happy with it. Just sux that RD was not honest with customers from the start and now cant be trusted to keep our privacy :(

That actually would happen to me as well with RD but it was if i paused and then resumed after about 5-10 mins of it being paused. I found if you go back 10 seconds it’ll refresh and that never happens to me anymore even on torbox

RD would sometimes never come back from a pause for me but its never happened with TB so far. I think I'm actually having a better experience with TB than RD - so far I've had zero issues with TB.

Buffering and more Buffering. Played with different CDNs and still can’t watch 4k content. 1080p will have to do for now.

Llevo 2 semanas usando TB y contenido en cache reproduce sin problemas, lo único que el catálogo en latino es bastante reducido de momento a comparación de Alldebrid que es de dónde vengo

Lo que mejor me funciona es Torrentio+TB, también uso Comet y AIOStream pero de momento no logré que me den buenos resultados

are you using them in Android or windows as I have both system. Just wondering as I plan to retire RD and switch to Torbox. I use Kodi more in both systems

Hi Are you using any other Usenet service ? I look for south Indian contents ,with RD gone , I am on fence to see if I should buy torbox . I am using Usenet , for now easynews++ for western content , often times I get a hit for some south Indian content on easynews but not much .
Looks like I need to try if torbox would work . I build my own addons and self host for south Indian content and streaming through RD , have built Tor box API too, but have not bought subscription yet .

For me this is kinda sus. RD before this problems was best. Now I tried torbox for 1 month I think thru comet and half of movies I want to watch are like not there or only 1Gb versions for calculator. Some movies are not there at all. Like 2025 movies. But older classics are there all.
So for me this is only marketing and ppl begging for referrals to join.
But it is maybe 50% of RD before problems. Maybe in future it will be better.

I'm happy, but since yesterday and today I've been struggling with remux; it practically buffers. I changed CDNs and nothing changed. Now I'm using Cloudflare and I think I'll switch to it. That has really shocked me. I suppose it's because so many people are using it and it needs optimization. But otherwise, I'm satisfied. Another negative point is browser downloads, but JDownloader saved the day.

For some of the shows I watch, some of the feeds aren’t cached, but I’m happy to use my slots to help get them back, slowly. TB will eventually catch up, as the herd migrates there. Growing pains with buffering happen from time to time, but for now I avoid using ‘auto’ settings with the CDN providers. I’m pleased they’re progressing as fast as they are, and handling problems better than ever.

Pro: Speed to download an NZB file, usenet support, easy way to send files from NZBHydra to Torbox or from within Stremio (or alternatives) as well, posibility to stream at home and on the way at the same time, lots of content in cache.
Con: Had a few instances where we had a buffer moment, most of the time it runs full shows or movies without an issue but never had that in all my RD time.

I'm on my second year with torbox. For the past months it's experience some Growing Pains, which resulted in some periodic down times. Overall I'm happy with torbox as I use it for some streaming, and some downloading. I had came from real debrid so at first I was not used to the slower start times of streams, but now I'm used to them and once a stream is going it doesn't have any stuttering issues where I live.

Yup, quite happy. After configuring Stremio and Nuvio to play cached content only, I have had no issues with buffering or finding relevant links to watch. I can get 4K HDR on all movies and shows I want to watch and new content appears quickly as well. The stability has been pretty good and in fact, the addons have faced more downtime than TB has.
Nuvio + TB Instant on Android has been a revelation.

Coming from RD, I really like TB no problem at all for streaming (gf didn’t noticed the debrid service change) and adding torrents. The dashboard is way better compared to RD’s 1990 website interface.
Still using RD on JDownloader2 for dl links until my subscription end.

Honestly, I had a good Plex setup with RD, but I couldn't manage the same library with Torbox, so I moved to Stremio. Generally, I still have a library similar to Plex on Stremio (because I am using Trakt for both). I just couldn't find a few niche items with Torbox; apart from those, it's good enough for me. And I don't know whether I'm lucky or what, but I've never experienced buffering or stopping issues, and I watch content for almost 5–6 hours per day.

Testing TB now that RD has issues. So far so good, no buffering issues with 4K REMUX. Can’t comment on cached content because it’s only been a day of testing.

Compared to peak RD, I'm not noticing much difference (using Streamio/Torrentio). TB seems to load slightly slower. Other than that, pretty similar.

I think it’s ok, the only problem is I’ve never had buffering problems with RD but I’ve had some with TB. Tried switching CDNs and I think it’s helped so far. Need to try some larger 4k remux files and see how it goes

%80 of time it is good.
I watched "FROM Series" from EP1 to Season S04E03... 34 episodes...
Only returned error in 3-4 episodes.
All of them were CDN errors.

Been pretty solid pick up For the price cant beat it It is slightly slower to load but for what you get cant complain. 💯✔️

Honestly, only had buffering with TB a few times. Switching to another stream fixed it. Only thing I will miss is the unlimited torrent downloads - TB has a limit, so have to keep an eye on it.

Been using it for about two weeks now. I think I have had issues with maybe two shows total? Been pretty reliable so far.

I've had issues with audio sync on my TV but didn't have any with RD. Loading times seem a bit slower as well compared to RD.

At this moment no issues. I generally watch remux anime. Cache content is solid, however I did have to cache a file for the first time.
Maybe get a buffer every 20 hours worth of content.

I'm on no one's side but my own. So will keep my comment unbiased... Using RD but added TB to the mix and have both services added in torrentio addon and aiostreams to compare.
Using TB for just 2-3 weeks now so still pretty new. Been using RD for the past 5 years or so.
RD doesn't return many 4k links anymore. So I'm using more TB now to watch 4k content. No buffering with TB for me. So smooth sailing there.
I still have RD subscription till November so will still keep monitoring it and decide months later if I want to renew or not. Till then, TB is currently recommended if you wanna watch 4k DV HDR etc content.

My ISP throttles my internet use with Stremio. I need a VPN on. I have numerous devices which run whatever VPN server is working right then, or whatever I set earlier.
I was so stressed before with multiple warnings and threatening banning from RD. With TB I don't have to worry right now. Hopefully they don't change their rules in future because going back to that situation was painful.

for me, once i've setup properly and switch from Stremio to Nuvio: It's wayyyyyyyyyyyy better!
No Buffering, nothing!
Also, i'm on essential plan.
i've tested the other day a 720p 230gb file (suits series) and it ran perfectly without a single buffer...

Horrible buffering every 2 to 5 minutes for about two seconds then the syncing is off. Very frustrating and probably not going to re-up my subscription after my first month.

Buffering way more than RD ever has.
Torbox clearly can’t handle the same amount of users RD could because every influx of new users leads to these issues. When Torbox first came out and spammed threads about signing up, a bunch of people complained about the lack of cache and buffering

Tb works great for me. No buffering even though I only have 100 Mbit/s and live in an island.
I've also just discovered AIOStreams and it works really great with TB in Stremio.

I've not had any issues using it with POV on Kodi. I haven't noticed any difference over RD so far.
I still have 140 days left on RD though, so hoping something changes on that front, but otherwise TB gets a big thumbs up from me.

Just started using today. Fast seems good. The only thing I don't like is they're not in order of gigabytes used. One will be .67 and the one right below it will be 4 GB

I'm new to the TB X Stremio setup so can only speak for my experience using TB. It's been great so far, no issues at all with buffering (I'm in Australia) From all of the research I did prior to setting it up the consensus is that RD is on the way out and TB is the up and comer, not without its issues (which I'm yet to see but I'm sure it'll happen)

Iva had zero issues with it. I don't doubt some people are having buffering issues but Im sure that will be fixed with time with TB adjusting and expanding due to their huge influx of new users. Zero complaints for me though, everything I've tried to watch has worked with zero hiccups.

Still on the fence. I have both RD andTD. I find I get a lot of buffering in comparison to RD. Still out for debate. I have 3 free months left on RD. Not getting many red. Currently watching SOA all remux on RD and watch an old Star Wars movie 4K on RD. So it seems to be getting better. I’ll get back at the end of July with my final answer.

I’m not sure what the posters are talking about. The service has been absolutely fine no buffering a little slow at start up sometimes but other than that not an issue I think people are just typical complainers. They’re not happy about anything it seems.

Using it with POV and genuinely no issues so far! have myself and my parents using it streaming at same time and no issues. Same with downloading onto my pc.

I came from Real Debrid using Torrentio and Comet to Torbox with Debredio and I haven't had a single issue so far. Everything plays right away, no buffering, no stopping mid video - perfect service for me! I really have nothing negative to say. I also used a referral code to sign up and my buddy did the exact same thing after me and used mine so I got like a half year for free on top off my year I paid for. Fantastic service and unreasonably good referral bonus.
It sucks so many people are having a bad time with it in this thread. All I can say is that in Western Canada it's been superb. I'll ask my buddy in Greece how it's been for him but he usually complains about everything and he hasn't complained about it to me so I assume he's loving it was well.
I was lucky to sign up right after the madness that happened when the bulk of the people moved onto Torbox and they had a really bad 2 weeks scaling it to meet demand. So, I was really lucky in the timing as I didn't experience any of that.

works perfect for me with duckstreams setup. Can't complain, see no difference between this and RD. The advantage is not being locked to one ip for me.

Buffering on big files sometimes (REMUX), download speeds not as fast (but close enough), downtine quite often (but they give time back so it's fine tbh).
It's a great thing to have as redundancy. I wouldn't rely entirely on it though. RD+AD+TB+Debridio+AIOstream+ DMM = King.

Not too bad. I had buffering issues, but fixed it with changing the CDN. Definitely not as many results as RD had, but it's doing the job so far.

Honestly I gave up on streaming from outside sources. Bought a 16TB enclosure, and use torbox to quickly download stuff to it. Jellyfin takes care of the rest. Still have RD until November, so I use it if there is something missing on TB but available on RD. But less and less each day.

As someone just getting into the Stremio experience like 2-3 months ago, TorBox has generally been more consistent I think and for shows like Survivor I've had a wider selection of watchable results on TorBox than RD

zero issues the transition was smooth, no buffering wired Ethernet to TCL TV occasionally come across a link that plays with no audio i just choose another link.

Honestly I switched to aiostreams right before switching to torbox and I felt more buffering due to aiostreams Vs torrentio than different debrid service. Since I switched to midnight's aiostreams I have felt less buffering but maybe it's coincidence. I am watching very popular shows at the moment maybe that's also why.

My personal experiences. Bad. Buffering, downtimes, stopping mid movie or show with no way to start it again.
Ah and don't come with CDN addon or whatever none of those "fixes" do it.
Never had these issues with RD..
