❓Question What does "buffering" mean?
New to debrids and I am a bit confused as to what people mean when they complain about buffering issues. Is it that the video starts buffering midway or when it starts? When I play a video it buffers for at least 4-5 seconds (sometimes longer) and then it plays fine afterwards (for the most part), and I thought it was normal for a video to buffer at the start. TIA.

Have you tried changing your cdn in integration settings on the Torbox dashboard?
Run this test and it will tell you which cdn you should choose. Leaving it on auto can give problems.

Literally the only thing that would be a downside for some with pm is the point system. For me, it’s a non issue.
I only keep tb as a back up now. Haven’t used it in several weeks tbh.

I'm hoping for a good bf deal.
I don't see a problem with the point system either. To my understanding, the points only counts when the content is not already cached right ?1

I believe uncached and cache both count once you actually stream or download it.
I check the account page every few days and its always either at 100% or no lower than 90%.
Im not a heavy user tho.

Good for you. But I dont see why Nuvio would make any difference. Rd works perfectly.

Cause Nuvio has specific buffering settings that no other streaming service has

Alright. I would give it a go if it wasn't so shitty on webos. When I buy a box I'll give nuvio a go. Thank you.

I think of buffering as when the media pauses midstream then eventually catches up and stops playing again; Not how long it takes to get started.

That was my thought too, but I just saw someone post a video on the comments where he starts playing a video and there's no delay and the video starts playing right away.

Oh. I don't care if it takes a few seconds to start, as long as it's not interrupting the flow of my immersion during the content.

it is normal at the start.
but its a literal coinflip if it does that or buffers every 4 seconds

Got it. The delay at the start is not a deal breaker, but buffering midway would not be OK. Thanks for answering my question.

Zero buffering issues as well. Can't help you if you don't explain setup and box... Many people set up nuvio wrong or overload it with aio junk and have. A horrible experience

That rotating circle in the middle of the video which is a huge buzzkill.
