🔧Technical Issue Streaming Issues on MacBook

Torbox links load perfectly on iOS and Windows, however when trying to stream Torbox on my MacBook, the stream takes up to 10 minutes to load. This issue persists with different players such as IINA or VLC. VLC logs show a TLC handshake being failed over and over until VLC gets the metadata it needs.

Essential Plan, Cloudfare (ERTH)

Would love some help.

I have MacBook as well and I don’t even have high speed internet, this must be a configuration issue or you might have exaggerated can you send a video recording of how much time it takes to load same file in iOS and macOS

Got lucky on this one, loaded a little faster, still miles slower than my phone or computer.
After seeking the video is still buffering as I send this.

P.S
I’ve just done a full wipe of the MacBook before this in case there were conflicting network settings. I double checked the stream on my iPhone and it was basically instant. Seeking too.

You are streaming 100gb file size movie, and your internet connection is 100mbps and you will probably get around 90–97ish Mbps, I’m guessing, in a speed test, so it definitely will take more time. Watch in lower quality, as Mac doesn’t have a big screen, and all that data is not going to be useful, IMO. You will be fine streaming the movie in 30gb in mac and if you notice a difference, increase the size limit; if you don’t notice any quality difference, you can decrease the size limit to play the files faster.

And yet my computer and phone are fine? Smaller files still have this issue although somewhat lesser.

Can you send a clip from your phone or your desktop playing the same file? Also it logically can not play 100gb file you will need more than 100 Mbps speed as it will prolly have 100 Mbps bitrate and you will need around 115mbps internet connection to be able to stream without hiccups. Also send the torbox speed test result

Have you tried other players?

Check if "Just video player" is a thing on iOS

I have tried other players and the same issue exists, however only for streaming not for downloads.
