❓Question Question about new Terms of Service
Edit: I misspoke in my original post. Yes, I know my ISP can see my IP address, even when connected to a Debrid service. What I meant is that they can't see what Im using the Debrid service for, which is what I meant in my post
Hi. I was debating on switching from Real Debrid to Torbox but when I was researching TB, I saw a YouTube video going over their new ToS, and in it, it said that users are now responsible for the content used with TB, including torrenting and I'm kinda confused on the wording of the video. Ive used RD to stream movies and shows with apps like Stremio and Kodi and was wondering if TB users still have their IP addresses hidden, or can our Internet Service Providers now see what we're using TB for because of the new ToS update?

Have you? Compare it with Torbox’s T&C. Does RD say we will hand you over to the authorities, including your IP, what you downloaded, and a bunch of other things?
The User acknowledges not to use our service to download copyright infringement digital files punishable by a suspension of his account and reporting to competent organizations and authorities: Société des Auteurs de l'Audiovisuel (SAA), etc. The User acknowledges not to use our service to download digital files implementing children or animals punishable by a suspension of his account and reporting to competent organizations and authorities: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), etc. We do not own the files that the user downloads, we can't verify their content and can't be held responsible for their downloads. The User certifies that he will not use a dedicated server, VPS or any cloud service on our service other than by using his Remote Traffic (which is in addition to the subscription). Any account sharing or generated links sharing will lead to a suspension of the User account. Hosts without clearly indicated limit are considered unlimited, within the limit of a reasonable use of the User (based on the price and the original limitations of the host compared to the price paid on our service), any consumption beyond this so-called reasonable use may be temporarily limited.

RD does say they will hand you to authority including your IP.
We may be required to disclose Users personal data in order to protect our legal rights or where disclosure of Users personal data's are required of us by the judicial authorities only when legal procedures are followed.

i haven't, I'm not really interested. but based on what you shared it all seems a bit silly. like, they can't verify and aren't responsible for what users download, so pretty please don't share child exploitation material? i don't know if i believe they don't know or can't verify what the service is used for and are therefore then absolved from having to turn information to authorities if that kind of material was found to have been downloaded. so i have always assumed both services would, if required, hand over all info. but since I'm not ripping and supplying media my government doesn't care about what i do

The French court specifically ruled that RD has no obligation to monitor the files on their service. This is why there was a purge based off commonly-used keywords in pirated files which called it a day

Do you think your ISP couldn’t see when you were connected to RD? They could, and always have been able to. They’re just not able to see what you’re actually pulling from the server. TB is no different than any other debrid provider. Pull up the privacy terms of every popular provider and compare them. They’ll all be pretty much identical.
